First Bible Basics: A Counting Primer (Baby Believer)

I love this adorable book! What a fantastic way to teach a baby the basics about the Bible and important doctrines like the Trinity and hypostatic union. It’s the little things! I buy this for all my friends who have babies.

We absolutely love this book. I stumbled upon in online and purchased it immediately. I've never seen a book like this. Simple, biblical basics that are easy to teach a toddler. The illustrations are stunning and captivating. My 3 year old daughter and I have been reading this all the time since we've purchased it. I was shocked and impressed with how quickly she picked up on so many of these Bible basics! She could recite the 7 'I AM" statements in only about 2 weeks of reading this book. She picked up on many of the smaller numbers right away and has been building upon the higher ones. I can't recommend this book enough! I think I've told everyone I know about how wonderful it is and have had many friends purchase it based on our recommendation and have received awesome feedback that they love it, too!

My oldest child is 3 years old. I purchased this for her a year ago. At that time, I was impressed with the beautiful illustrations and the foundational concepts which are represented. Its an excellent book. My daughter began taking more interest in it over the last 6 mo. She loves to be read to and seems to be above average in her understanding. That said, she would lose interest in the book when we first bought it. However, she now (at age 39 mo) really enjoys the whole book and has memorize several of the listed including the names of Jesus, the fruit of the Spirit, and the Ten Commandments (with a little help from Slugs and Bugs Sing the Bible, too!) A great purchase and one we are now reading to pour 5 month old, as well.

"First Bible Basics: A Counting Primer" is a favorite in our house! Our children love the illustrations and my oldest especially enjoys learning more about God and the Bible. I love it because while it teaches the simple concept of counting, it also incorporates God's Word and truths from the Bible. When teaching the ideas on each page to my oldest daughter, the beautiful illustrations help immensely as they make it easier for my daughter to memorize them. I also love that many pages contain actual Scripture. This book is an excellent way to introduce children to ideas that are usually considered to difficult for little ones to understand. I can't say a bad thing about this book and I recommend it to anyone looking to introduce their children to basic Christian beliefs!

Such a precious addition to our children’s library! Currently one of babies’s favorites, and one of the nightly reads before bed. Simple, sweet, solid, beautiful,deep… All the things you could hope for when children’s literature collides with theology.

As a believer and mother of 5 little ones, I am always keeping my eyes open for great new resources to help us teach the truths of God's word to our children. I was so excited when I first heard about this book, but I was blown away by the BEAUTIFUL illustrations!!! As a visual learner myself, I was totally drawn to the illustrations in this book and my kids think they are "super cool" as welll! I look forward to reading this one again and again with my children! Not only will they be practicing counting and number recognition, but they will also be learning THEOLOGY! Plus, on a practical note, I love that it's a board book so it will hold up to lots of years of love in our house. This will be my new go-to baby shower gift! Beautiful and intentional at the same time.

My grandkids have memorized many of God’s important attributes through this counting book and I can’t be happier about it. The 6 year old can read it and the 4 year old has it memorized by listening!

We love this theological book series so much!! It’s so accessible for little kids and our son always asks us to read it to him.

I absolutely love giving this book to new parents for baby showers. The illustrations are beautiful and the concept is very basic and easy to understand for children and adults.

One of the best Christian board books I know of (if not the best). What other board book outlines Christ's two nature's? Absolutely lovely illustrations and solid, solid Bible basics. Gets a smile from every theologian I show it to. Simple, but much to soak in over the years as a child grows. Can't wait to read it to my nephew.
