Wolff's Kasha (Whole Granulation) - 100% Roasted Buckwheat

My husband is from Russia and he’s really picky about Kasha. He likes the whole kernel rather than the medium broken kernel type kasha. I’ve grown to like kasha too. I cook it as directed with 2:1 ratio water to kasha. Add some salt after water boils. Add kasha then cook covered for 10 minutes or so till kernels are soft. I add 2-3 pats of butter and allow them to melt on top of the cooked kasha. Then I stir and fluff the kasha. Kasha has a nutty taste and slightly chewy texture. It’s a whole grain nutritious substitute for white rice or pasta as it works well with the same typical sauces.

Growing up, in our household, Kasha was served on special occasions, like Christmas Eve. Since it was hard to come by, we looked forward to the few times a year that it was served. My personal favorite was when it was served warm, drizzled with browned butter, after the Kasha was prepared, not as porridge but as egg-coated individual kernels. This Kasha is absolutely perfect. Just like I remember. Now I'll be able to have it whenever I want. I will definitely be back for more. Thank you so much.

The most disgusting thing I have ever purchased. I prepared it as directed, and the smell alone is horrible. I did try to eat it with sugar and cream and blueberries and almost threw up. This must be something you either hate or love. I am on the 'hate' bleacher. I love buckwheat noodles, so I don't know why this is so awful--to me, anyway.

Side dish with any meat or fish. or just eat it alone with sauteed onions and mushrooms. It.s healthy and delicious!

Not as advertised. This was supposed to be BOXES of kasha that I've purchased in the past. It required to pre-roasting in egg coating, which this does. All-in-all though, this is a good product. Just not what I wanted.

I have to admit that I ordered this only because it was the last option available during the Coronavirus pandemic. And I'm glad I did! It has such a delicious nutty flavor and texture. So much better than any buckwheat that I've had before! It also arrived quickly and was just as described. Recommended!

Have loved Wolff's Kasha for many ears! I only buy their WHOLE GROATS - their granulated or partially cut - are not good. Perfect hot cereal for breakfast on a cold morning - buckwheat heats up the body . Want more heat - cut up some ginger root and cook with the Kasha. Like to cook it with sliced garlic - a bit of oil - and soy sauce. This brand's flavor is the best of them all. Enjoy!

I grew up on Wolffs kasha, and I missed it because I only like the whole granulation style, which my local stores do not carry. I was pleased to find it on Amazon, and I eat it almost every morning. Incidentally, I "par-boil" it because I like it crunchy, and my doctor tells me that this product has a low glycemic index.
