Beautiful chest, well constructed. The utensil spacers could be a little tighter to hold skinner neck style utensils but other than that it is a solid product.

I could tell I purchased a quality flatware chest as soon as I opened the box and saw how meticulously it was packed. I was so impressed. I had been searching for a quality box for my mother's beautiful silver. This was the one I kept going back to look at. And for flatware worth thousands of dollars, isn't it worth it? The original box had been damaged by water, so when I saw this one, made in the USA, I knew it was the right one. I am very happy and you will be too. It holds service for 12 with a few extras, (77 pieces).

I invested in another silver chest and am glad I selected this one. Rather expensive…

Lacking the quality that I was expecting from craftsmen on the top panel, the panel that everyone sees first. When I asked for someone to pick out a better looking chest, the reseller offered: 1) to refund 10% if I keep the chest; or 2) a full refund if I return the chest.

This silver chest is very well made. It is a beautiful piece and it is evident that a lot of care was put into its making. This is just what we wanted!

Purchased this to store some family silver-plate to keep for one of my grandchildren. This box is beautifully made, the wood is exquisite and should become a family heirloom along with the silver-plate. The box that the product was shipped in was extremely heavy, even after removing the product and came in perfect condtion.

I spent many days looking for a silverware chest that was solid wood and lined with anti-tarnish flannel. This beautiful product exceeded my expectations! The cherry wood is polished with a rich, deep hue. There are felt pads on the bottom. The hinges and handle gleam brightly. I was amazed to find that although there is no drawer there was room for serving pieces and small knives at the front. The pictures show service for 8, but there is room here for 12. I was also grateful to the seller who responded to my request for a quick delivery and had the product at my door within three days.

I'm so glad I did a little research before deciding on which flatware chest to buy, or I might have picked a well- known brand such as Reed & Barton or even Wallace. But, alas, things aren't what they appear, and the Reed & Barton chests are no longer made by the same company after R&B filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2015.The American Chest Company was founded by a former R&B employee who now has the same high quality chests made here in America by the Amish. My chest arrived promptly, and was very securely wrapped and boxed. I'm very pleased with the quality of the chest.
