Although formula is exactly the same, I'm liking this one much better than the forth one (P4G) it tackles darker subject matter and has more bad language so feels more mature. Its got incredible stylish presentation and runs flawless on the switch. It's a must buy for JRPG fans. At £34.99 it's a bargain. They could have easily whacked a £49.99 on this and it still would have been worth it.This is an edit a few days later, after spending more time with the game.......I've now become obsessed with it, story has me hooked right in. Its an incredible game.

I'm with the critics and fans with P5R, the game is a JRPG classic and perfect on the Switch to play portable. However it isn't for everyone, basically being one third old school JRPG dungeon crawler/Pokemon style collect'em up, one third 'time and stat management life simulator' and one third visual novel. The way the first two aspects link together creates a very addictive gameplay loop be warned. It's all held together by a remarkable Young Adult pitched story (think Inception meets Harry Potter in Japan) with clever ties into real world events and incredible audio/visual presentation. Oh man I wanna move to Tokyo and fight rotten adults....

Persona 5 Royal takes the flawed gem that is Persona 5, a game that was too long and had stretches of poor pacing, crams all the original content into a tighter package that improves the pacing and goes by more quickly and then fills it out with an excellent new semester.The new content is some of the best Persona story and gameplay ever. Really, truly brilliant stuff.

First off, getting to play this incredible game on the go is a fantastic experience. The graphics take a bit of a hit on switch, the resolution is a little fuzzy, but those who haven’t played this game yet have to try it!

I bought Persona 5 Royal on Nintendo Switch because it was one of my most wanted ports. I gotta say, I’ve played it for 10 hours within under 48 hours of obtaining the game & I’ve had a hard time putting the game down thanks to the likable characters & engaging story.The only issue I have is that since I have big hands, the blood circulates in my hands over time. But that’s not to do with the game itself, I bought a grip case which should be on the way soon so I have a more comfortable experienceOverall, Great Game so far

Wasn't sure what to expect in terms of moment to moment game play, but it has turned out to be quite compelling. Devs have used the long run time to flesh out the characters well. Helps that the soundtrack is full of bangers. Perfect for Switch, since playing bit by bit seems more enjoyable than binging over long sessions, where it can start to feel like a bit of a slog.
