Exactly what I was looking for, and what I needed on a plastic welding project.
These welding rods worked great for me on an LDPE to LLDPE welding project. They were used with the Hobie KC welder (also on Amazon) and worked perfectly. They match the feeding hole in that welder nozzle just right. These rods are about 48" long, and were packaged in a heavy duty cardboard tube. The packaging was overkill but I am not complaining about that. Most packaging is marginal at best so this was a nice surprise. The welding/melting temperature of these rods was similar to the LDPE/LLDPE items being welded. Everything went as intended and the finished product was better than expected.Both sides of each joint were welded, with a total length of 20 feet of weld joint length. Six of these welding rods were used to complete that welding. There was no apparent loss of strength or flexibility in the welded areas. I ended up cutting these rods into more manageable lengths of roughly 12". Using a full length rod is a little cumbersome for me.
