Works (mostly) as advertised, performs well
For the price, these mini LED flashlights do a fantastic job. I picked up pair to keep one in my handy-dandy emergency kit for power outages or wildfires (living in SoCal this is unfortunately a thing), and the other in my home office for when I have to root around inside my computers. For a single AA battery, the illumination is almost too good to believe; probably on par with various mag lights I've owned over the years. The strobe effect is obnoxious and genuinely disorienting. Whether it would temporarily blind some attacker I couldn't say. I can tell you it would certainly work on me.The dim setting is what I appreciate most. When I'm digging around one of my computers I don't need full daylight. At the highest setting this flashlight is ludicrously bright / overkill for this situation. I flip it to the dim setting and it's perfect. There are two cons to these flashlights: one humorous and one relatively serious.1. It's a good thing it comes in a pair because you will almost certainly lose one. I'm only back here writing this review because I can't find the one in my office and Amazon can probably ship me a second pair before I do. (If I lose enough of them I'll never have trouble finding one.)2. There is a single button controlling both power and mode. It's very easy when turning on the flashlight to simultaneously select the next mode. My expectation is the flashlight would simply resume its prior mode. That isn't always the case here. You may find the next time you turn it on it has switched to strobe even though it was previously set to full bright. If not for the second (and only legitimate) con, I would rate this product a full five stars. I knock one star off for the reason that advertising the strobe as a "blinding effect" implies self defense. If you are in a hurry to turn it on and instead of strobe it switches itself to dim, the "blinding effect" is moot. It's an edge case, yes, but one of a serious nature. If a product maker is going to imply their product can be used for self-defense that claim had better be guaranteed.

Small, powerful
These are nice and bright, small enough to easily fit in your hand or pocket. I grab it in the morning when I go out to walk the dog. The one caveat is that there is one aa battery and with the power of the flashlight, it doesn't last all that long. It also goes from being a little weak to suddenly no juice at all. All in all, I"m glad I bought them, they serve their purpose but when they go dim, it's better to just change the batteries then, rather than wait mid use without a flashlight.

Fantastic Durability
There flashlights are quite bright and work really well. Furthermore, we have one clipped to the outside of a building, in weather ranging from snow or rain to 120+ degrees (F) that we use for a few minutes every day. It has been there for nearly three years and is still working. We've had to replace the battery once.

They're okay, good value for the price
These are basic flashlights that I got to have in my backpack or coat pocket during the dark winter months. They hold up well and seem pretty durable. Battery life is reasonable, and it's bright enough. The lens mechanism is okay, although at the tightest beam size they project a shape of the LED chip, which is weird. The high-low-strobe isn't helpful for me but it could be for someone.

The one that did work was fine, but I didn't like the way you had ...
Only one of the flashlights worked after inserting fresh batteries. The one that did work was fine, but I didn't like the way you had to cycle through the High/Low/Strobe/Off settings. Not sure why there's a strobe setting. It's a bit annoying, but I guess kids may like it. Returning them and will look for another model.

Nice and bright
One of these flashlights went in my stocking and one in my sons. I have no idea what my son thinks of his but I love mine. I use it in my room after the lights go out so that I can find things on not disturb my husband. What a beautiful bright light! The one thing that I do find difficult is turning it on with just my finger. I have to use the end of my nail to turn it on and off.

Cycling through the 3 settings is a pain and unavoidable every time you just want to turn on the light.

A great, bright little flashlight.
Bright and a great flash light for the price. When I can't carry my protection I carry one of these to at least blind or distract if I needed too. Still on the original batteries after a lot of use and playing around. The focused beam is very concentrated and is very bright... looks like a clenched fist too.
