Bykski Water Cooling Digital Flow Meter Temperature Display

Build quality is good, doesn’t learn and hold water well. I’ve had it in my loop for over a year and it’s going strong. Text is easy to read even through the tinted screen. Display is pure white - no color. Fit my tubing well. I wish there was a delay during initial start up because it flashes caution indicating there is no flow while it is still booting up and while the pump primes. Shows good indication of water temperature and flow speed which updates a couple times per second.

Straightforward addition to your loop, it just has a molex plug. Default flow direction is Right to Left, you can change the impeller direction with the allen wrench provided with this flow meter from Bykski.

The product looks great, the screen looks great. I was excited to use it! Visually that is about where the good ends. If you look inside the unit the Temp sensor is WAY to long, it takes up 1/2 the water tube size! Clearly, they just slapped in a temp sensor that was way too long. Only the non-threaded portion is supposed to be in contact with the water. The problem is that this is massively blocking the flow of water and creating turbulent water. This will restrict flow and make noise. Temp probes are not supposed to block 1/2 the water channel! 2nd issue is this reversible flow direction piece... terrible quality and fitment. To start with the diameter is roughly 1mm smaller than the other side (where the temp probe is). See pictures. This isn't always a problem but it will create more pressure and more turbulent water which equals noise. They should have made the house bigger to accommodate the reversible metal insert. Other mentions. I think the temp probe is brass and the metal insert looks like Nickel. The housing is plastic or as they call it POM. I'd love for them to be more transparent on what metals are in there. My biggest gripe is the temp probe, this is really obstructing the water flow. I wouldn't be shocked if you tested this vs another flow meter if you get better results with another meter. This really needs to be corrected.

I had bought 3 of these as there are 3 different loops in my pc. They areally helped when the wire powering the pumps stopped working and they started flashing that there was no flow.
