Why exactly is this "used - like new" body only camera priced $200+ over the msrp? seems sketchy to me.

It is sketchy, though it likely is an actual camera. This camera is constantly sold out everywhere, even months after the launch. This is in part due to the demand, and also in part due to the supply issues all electronics manufactures are facing world wide (covid, chip shortage, employee shortage). It is an example of opportunism at its worse, the same thing is happening with video cards for computers. Most at the moment are waiting about a month once they place an order. Not everyone is willing to wait. If that is you, then consider the price a premium to have it right now. Otherwise, get your name down on an order and you will probably wait about a month. When running two cards does it save a mirror image of photos on both cards or does it save the jpeg to one card and raw image to second card?

You have a few options, but the easy answer here is that it can save redundantly to both cards for any format it supports. So if you want to shoot in full RAW and save to both cards it can do it. You just have to set it up to do so, similar to other Canon cameras that have two slots (set the camera to "record to multiple"). Both slots are USH-II SD slots, and are backwards compatible to UHS-I. But, I would recommend at the very least to use two cards that are the same minimum write speed so that one card doesn't slow the other when writing redundantly (basically, the camera will only be able to keep up with the slowest card). For the best performance, V90 rated cards are the best that it can support, but I have also used V60 cards and got good results. I recommend Prograde. It supports RAW, JPEG, C-RAW, and HEIF. I only use RAW and C-RAW, and always write the same format to each card. If you would like more info about the R7, you should check out the review I have on my profile. It actually embeds the vertical position in the file, you just need to tell the program to read it that way.
