The Chef Frog silicone spoon if great for cooking and/or serving. The weight of the spoon is evenly distributed so when you leave the spoon in a bowl or pot it does not fall out...splattering food everywhere. I had a Cuisinart silicone spoon and the handle was stainless steel but the silicone portion of the spoon was light. This caused the spoon on quite a few occasions to to flip out of the bowl or a smaller pot when left after serving the food. The silicone portion of the Chef Frog spoon is strong enough to scrape up and stir up food good as well as be a great serving utensil. The Cusinart spoon I had did not have this cooking capability. I highly recommend this spoon. I bought the slotted version of this spoon as well. I only wish it came in different colors.

I've used wooden utensils in all my cooking for a number of years and then a large plastic serving spoon. Inevitably, that serving spoon would get set in the hot food. So I wanted a silicone spoon that would not have an issue at higher heats. This one is perfect. The proportions are nice, the handle does not get hot and I feel a lot more comfortable when its set in hot food.

I've been looking for stirring/cooking utensils with fatter handles for aging hands that cramp easily when the handle is too skinny. I ordered this one out of curiosity but was wary because of the metal handle - and whether the rapid heat transfer (heat warmth away from hands & into handle) would cause hand cramping like metal knitting needles can. So far, the metal does not seem to be an issue. It certainly is sturdy when stirring batter and dough. I primarily purchased this for stirring and it has been good for that. As the bowl of the spoon is pretty shallow, it wouldn't be terrible good for serving what has been stirred...unless it is something thick like potato salad. Would like this spoon better if the handle was a bit fatter and there was a silicon grip covering the middle of the handle.

Needed some new kitchen spoons and decided to try Chef Frog. The spoon is a great size for scooping up whatever I am sautéing and it def does NOT scratch the non-stick pans. The spoon is not flexible, if you need that, but it's a great all-purpose cooking spoon and is deep enough to hold food/liquids in it too. Bought the ladle and slotted spoons too and am VERY happy with this product.

Years ago, I paid $1 at a dollar store for a spoon with a flexible, completely silicone head. I could stir a pot of beans and also scrape the pot clean with it like a spatula. That spoon got lost in the shuffle some years back, and was hoping to replace it with this one.Before I purchased this spoon here, I asked whether the head was completely silicone or silicone with a metal backbone, and I was informed that it was silicone all the way through. Based on that information, I purchased the spoon.However, this spoon is not as flexible as the one I had before, and its spatula capabilities are not as good as I was hoping. For general use with non-stick pots and pans, it works well and is good to have.

This spoon is the perfect size and strength to make large batches of food. BUT, I HATE IT! The handle is hollow tubular stainless steel with a hook pressed into the handle end. The handle end where this hook is inserted is not sealed. As a result, gunk from the dishwasher collects in the handle and starts to seep out when you begin to stir your dish. Disgusting!

I absolutely love this spoon. It was the perfect addition to my collection as I did not have a silicone spoon prior to getting this one. I love the bright green color and the handle feels especially sturdy. You can't get this kind of quality in the local stores without paying double or triple the price.

This item is attractive as spoons go. I like the stainless handle. It is nice & long & it has a good feel to it. I bought this at the end of December & have not used it very many times. It has been used appropriately & according to the information & instructions received with it. My problem with it is that the silicone part has developed bubbles. It seems to be breaking away from the core. For the price (and all the positive reviews), I expected much better quality. If it had still been within the 30 day return period, I would have sent it back. (I had also ordered the ladle at the same time. It arrived broken at the place where the ladle meets the handle. That did go back.) Needless to say, I am not at all impressed with Chef Frog. It croaks.
