As with most self-inflating pads, the self-inflation only partially fills up the pad, and then you must fill it up the rest of the way with your breath. The problem is, the pad does not stay inflated. I could have received a faulty pad (although I missed the 30 day window to return by just a few days, so definitely make sure you check within 30 days of your purchase), but regardless, I found myself essentially sleeping on the ground the entirety of my trip (it was deflated after even the first use). The pillow stayed inflated. The pad is also slightly too big and heavy to be good for backpacking, but the quality is too low to make sense for car camping.Skip this product, buy a different brand.

Awesome, I used this mattress for the back of my car, when we went to the Drive in movies. It was perfect not to thick and my 4yr fell asleep on it with no problem.

No instructions included. Mat does not inflate.
