Staedtler Mars Vellum Pad, 16 lb., 50 Sheets, 8-1/2"x11" (STD946T811)

This vellum is used to make patterns to glue onto metal which will be turned into multiple components of jewelry. The shapes are cut out using a jewelers saw.The pattern drawing is created using technical pens and needs to be precise. The ink does not bleed and does not smear if I use reasonable caution. I am very pleased with this vellum. I use it a great deal.

Use this for a much different purpose than most, paper patching cast bullets for hunting. Works great. The cotton content shrinks after drying to aid in "ironing on the patch" and is durable. Makes great patches and is the perfect thickness to patch up .301 cast to fill the throat of my chamber. For practicing a 150 year old technology - this paper is perfect.

I would have liked for it to be a little more see-through, but it definitely works. It's just harder to fine-tune teeny tiny details with the level of opaqueness. Definitely cheaper than what I was using! This pad will last me forever!

Could trace through, I am an artist and crafter this vellum pad will have many uses. Can not wait to start my projects...this paper is sheer but sturdy...also seller shipped this item extremely fast! Will but from them again!

Wasn't what i was looking for. The paper is too thick for my arts project. It absorbs my paint quickly.Be sure to check the thickness of the paper before buying.

This vellum was absolutely wonderful for my son's wedding invitations! They went through my printer very smoothly and the print was very clear. We printed photos of the happy couple on wedding invitations we purchased from Michael's, printed the wedding information on the vellum, and connected the two papers with a ribbon at the top! It made the wedding invitations looked professional! I would not hesitate to purchase this vellum again!
