Fits and works as advertised
Bought this for my ice maker. Pretty simple to use, but no way to really be able to tell how effective it is. I have pretty hard water, so I also use a Brita pitcher to fill the reservoir to reduce deposits.

The filter makes the ice taste delicious!
I love my Opal ice machine... no... LOVE IT!!! It’s the best soft crunch ice like “sonic” etc and gives me great ice. I just need the tank I had used my homes filter water and still installing this filter I feel my drinks have an unaltered flavor and water??? Soo good! This is a must have for sure. Thanks Opal for giving me something that helps my Chrons with its crunch and taste! Love your company. Jeneane Polson, MT

Get the filter-trust me
Opal says you don't need a filter especially if you use purified water. I live in AK where the water is pretty clean and it also runs through 2 filters in my fridge. My machine was needing cleaned every few days. Ordered this filter and have no issues now at all. I clean it every couple of weeks. Don't skimp: get the filter.

Great upgrade
I wish I had discovered this sooner! I love using our ice machine but making sure to put distilled or filtered water into it isn't convenient. Adding this filter, was simple fast, and easy. It's made using our ice machine so much easier without any extra hassle. LOVE IT

Very easy to use
Pops right into the unit. The ice tastes great, so I ASSUME it is working. I really don't know how WELL it filters as I am not going to do a micron test on it compared to the tap water. I guess I am believing that it is doing it's job. The water that we put into the unit is filtered already anyway so I guess I am not too worried.

A must have if your water isn't filtered.
I love the Opal Ice Maker but our water creates ice with a funky taste if it isn't filtered. You can fill the machine with filtered/spring water but for me its simpler to fill it from the hose in the sink. With this filter the weird tastes are removed and you're good to go.

The best icemaker ever
The best little icemaker ever... it can make so much ice I use it every other day or so... toss the ice in a plastic bag and we always have great ice!! So easy and dependable!!! My favorite item ever ever!!! Wanted one forever and now have this!! Very happy with this purchase...you won't regret it ever... the filter is great and easy to install.
