Installed on my monitor with only VGA input. My computer has only HDMI output and can run two monitors so I was able to get my old monitor to work with the HDMI input. It works great. I got this for VGA to HDMI, and it wasn't working, but it works for HDMI to VGA, so make sure you are getting the correct one.But it worked great for its purpose, connecting to an HDMI port and a VGA input.

Easy to connect and worked like it was supposed to. The screen I used it with had a clear picture with no glitches and connector stayed plugged in. I only used it for 3 months but will need it again this winter so hopefully it will still work.

I have an old monitor with the multi-pin plug for a desktop computer I bought 20 years ago. I had since switched to laptops, but when it was time to upgrade, I decided to save money and get a new desktop instead. To save even more money, I decided to keep my old monitor only to discover that newer computers no longer have multi-pin outlets, just USB outlets. Does what i need it to, basically plug and play. Easy to install and works right out the box. Able to use my very old monitor as dual screen with my lap top, for a price I can definitely live with. I highly recommend.
