U.S. Chess Quiver Chess Set Combination - Triple Weighted

Amazing. I've been playing 27 years, mostly with my Dad, and now my kids, and have played hundreds of different sets. This became my favorite set immediately.The weight of the pieces really adds to the game, can't explain why. Lol.The extra queens were a great addition. My kids and I play a variation where I replace my king with the second queen and it always gets pretty interesting.The mat is very high quality. One thing to note is that you will want to roll it up upside down with the top out. That way it lays down flat when it lays down flat. Otherwise it will try to roll upwards and close while playing.The quiver is absolutely basic, but still fully operational.I came back to Amazon after a month and bought another set, for my Dad.

Pieces are excellent weight and size. The carry bag can hold everything easily, and will be good for travel.The board is large, and lays flat on the table. My only issue is there seems to be a manufacturing defect in the vinyl that bubbles up could easily start peeling in the future. Will update on how it does over the next month or so.

I would recommend getting this in a color other than black as it can be harder to see the black pieces. Other than that it's a great chess set.

The pieces are good, and the mat is the standard one you would expect for a club level set. However, the carrier itself is subpar. There are no compartments for pieces. All it is is a long bag that fits the mat there one opening.Somehow you’re supposed to fit all the pieces in there. It advertises that you can fit in a Chess Clock in as well, there is literally no way that is at all possible. As for the chess pieces, there isn’t any room for them, unless you dropped in the pieces one at a time. Disappointing.
