It’s too thick to pour into hand held bottles.
Everyone, now including me, have a bit of difficulty rating/reviewing this product.Positive: I like the taste, I feel as though it makes me faster and I don’t cramp. I don’t burn out or fade during hill climbs, cycling full speed for 20-30 miles is doable and I alway seem to come back and reorder more.Negative: Expensive, VERY thick which makes pouring the product into smaller handheld flasks extremely difficult, which one must do to make it portable enough to carry in pockets during rides. To make it more liquid I’ve placed the larger bottle in hot/warm water to take away the thickness but that doesn’t work, cutting it with half product and half water...makes it easier to pour but I’m diluting the product. It’s maddening to have to do this, why don’t they just fix it at the factory? So here I am again debating if I should reorder and looking around for something else I might like more.

Liquid Shots? More like Very Thick Gel
I bought this as I was looking for a high electrolyte alternative to the gels and drinks I have been using. They talk about the lack of gel-ing agents, and the name of the product seems to indicate it is a 'liquid' as opposed to a gel. The nutritional make up is what I was looking for. I have now used it and it is thicker than most gels I use - not what I would classify as liquid - impossible to get most of the product out of their flask without heavy dilution and shaking. The taste of the vanilla isn't great, but it isn't terrible either, tolerable. I think I had sufficient energy on my ride, didn't cramp, but didn't exactly finish as strong as I have using other products. I DID NOT receive a flask with my order, even though they vaguely hinted that I would and some reviewers mentioned that theirs came with a flask. I had to go to a local store and buy a flask - the vanilla EFS Liquid Shot. I used it and a relatively big ride ~3.5 hours with lots of hard climbing. I would actually return the product if Amazon would let me. Quite expensive and just not what I was looking for. I will likely not purchase again. I'll just use my go-to gels E-Gel from Crank Sports, Honey Stinger gels and chews, and Hammer nutrition products.

Not your average gel
I have tried all of the more popular gels but like EFS Liquid Shot much better than all the others. It doesn't seem to cause any intestinal issues and seems to give me great energy for longer runs and bike rides. My only "complaint" is that it's not easy to carry. I wanted to use it during my last marathon, but carrying a flask was not as easy as 4 Gu packets (which fit in my race number belt). For long bike rides I fill 2 flasks and put them in my back shirt pockets which works just fine. The consistency is thin enough that it's not a problem to "drink" them while riding, and I don't have to drink water with it if I don't want to, but I do anyway because staying hydrated is just important as staying fueled! I have only tried the vanilla flavor; it might be too sweet for some people, but I love it.

Shame on Sporting Doc got selling item with two year old expiration date!!!
Only writing this because of other low feedback due to thickness of drink. Consistency is like a medium thickness milkshake, so if you don't like that simply add water! The sustained energy it provides for a 51 year old still playing competitive basketball for two hours, twice a week, far out weights what two people consider too thick to drink. 20+ guys have asked me "what is in that bottle you take sips from then come out and sprint up and down the court from game to game?" It would be a shame that the best product I have found in 35 years that eliminates cramping, minimizes lactic acid buildup, and maximizes endurance would not be used due to some quirky users who have taste sensitivities yet no creativity to resolve a simple nuance. Enjoy!!

Fast and Easy To Use
Much better than Gels in a packet. I like the ease of a quick reach into the back pocket and the you have the choice of how much you want from the bottle. Also the more liquid form goes down easier than Gel and seems to get in your system quicker. The Vanilla actually tastes good. I have been using the refill system for a couple of years now and find it easy to fill a couple of the small squeeze bottles and they do me for 8 hours of riding or more before I have to refill them. Good stuff.

First Endurance EFS Liquid
Product is as advertised, shipping was timely and the bottle was well sealed for protection. (Product is actually more like a cream instead of liquid, tho). I use this when biking long distances to hold down leg burn on front of thighs. Have tried many different energy drinks, etc and this works far better for me than anything else I've tried. I use the Vanilla flavor and find it actually pretty tasty...strong vanilla taste. If you get that Lactic Acid build up/leg burn from working hard you should give this a try.

Refill is great
Love this stuff in hot weather and long cycling rides. My issue is you can never get all of it out of the flask. Needs a better flask where you can get all the product Love the taste and never upsets stomach during workout.

The best gel on the market
Good taste and easy on the digestive tract. It performs as advertised and is superior to the competitive gels I have used over the past 15 years.
