Good news for all those who didn’t get enough light during this, in meteorological terms, rather mixed summer. The coming of the light is near … from 18 November 2016 the arrival of Master Of Light will put an end to all this weather related tristesse and brighten the mood with the familiar positive Freedom Call aura. Frontman Chris Bay promises: “Our fans can look forward to a whole dozen new songs which once again present the different aspects of our melodic metal with lots of fast paced numbers but also progressive references and balladesque moments. There’s bound to be something for every Freedom Call fan.†Master Of Light will be available on Steamhammer/SPV in a Digipak, double colour vinyl version and digital download. The album was recorded at the band’s own Little Sun Creek Lounge studio near Nuremberg, with Chris Bay and Stephan Ernst, who already co produced the predecessors Land Of The Crimson Dawn (2012), Beyond (2014) and Eternity – 666 Weeks Beyond Eternity (2015), manning the controls. The current line up featuring the two founder members Chris Bay (vocals, guitars) and Ilker Ersin (bass) plus their two fellow combatants, guitarist Lars Rettkowitz and drummer Ramy Ali, has proved itself many times over, currently captivating audiences at major festivals worldwide with their lead single ´Hammer Of The Gods`, which arrived at the physical and digital stores in July. Even before the release of the album, there will be a new video clip to support the album track  ´Metal Is For Everyone`, which is set to additionally whet our appetite for Master Of Light. Bay on the significant song title: “There’s a bit of heavy metal in all of us, isn't there?

Awesome Power Metal!
These guys are awesome! The music is exactly what I look for in power metal. Exciting, fun, bombastic, and well engineered. Every song on the album is excellent and I listen to the entire album just about every day now. Just as with any music, I highly recommend getting a CD over mp3. Lossless gives music so much more life and detail. Storage sizes are so much different now than they were 10 years ago, there's less and less reason to compress now.

So awesome - if you love epic power metal...
One of those albums that starts strong, stays strong, and finishes strong. I discovered Freedom Call recently, and this is one of my favorite albums of theirs.I found them through other bands like gloryhammer, hammerfall, dragonforce, and other legendary power metal bands. Very uplifting, happy, makes my day better every time.

Four Stars
Music is good, CD cover is just atrocious. What the heck were they thinking with the shirtless quasi-dragonball character?

this is one of their best albums (if not the best) ever
Listen to all of the all other 5 star reviews, this is one of their best albums (if not the best) ever. I literally cannot find a song I dislike. I've been a fan of Freedom Call since 04 and seen good and bad albums, I was really excited when I first heard about this release and it did not disappoint.

Happy metal
Probably my favorite Freedom Call album. Super, super catchy songs with epic choruses, and excellent musicianship. If you like their previous stuff, you're gonna love this one. Metal is for everyone!

"Happy Metal" is still going strong
If you want happy metal that's so exuberant that it almost doesn't make sense, Freedom Call should be your first stop.

Don't be put off by the cover!
Artwork is supposed to encourage you to buy the product, this serial killer lookalike does the opposite. Would this encourage a casual buyer to purchase this album? No! Did it inspire me to buy it? No! I only bought it because I was familiar with FC's previous work. Why they didn't instead have a man surrounded by a halo of light, or a magician with rays streaming from his eyes and fingers or a sorcerer holding a ball of light illuminating him and the darkness behind or something similar rather than that which they chose is a mystery to me. However, if you can get past the cover the album itself is definitely worth listening to, and a worthy addition to the FC cannon.

Happy Metal ala Helloween
Ja, dies ist meine 1. Freedom Call u. mir gefällt's. Wer Helloween-Sachen so Mitte bis Ende der 80er (mit Michael Kiske) mag, dürfte sich hier wie zu Hause fühlen. Gut finde ich u.a.:"Metal is for Everyone", "Master of Light", "A World Beyond", "Rock The Nation", "Hail The Legend", "Kings Rise And Fall", "Riders In The Sky" usw. Finde das Album verbreitet gute Laune und hat Spielfreude. Auch der Sänger macht seine Sache gut. Ja, man muß diese Art Metal mögen, aber dann liegt man mit der neuen Freedom Call genau richtig.

Metal is for everyone
Ich will hier gar keinen einzelnen Song auswählen.
