Having had an in-hand opportunity to evaluate three of these similar devices (yellow plastic, black aluminum alloy versions and this one) side-by-side, the Amenitee Ultra Nook full metal (aluminum) champagne gold-colored Template Tool is by far the best quality product, from its polished soft-bushed knurled knob nuts to the 3/32" thick but sturdy aluminum ruler arms. The low profile rulers allow closer surface contact yet are substantial enough not to bend or warp as the plastic versions of this tool eventually do. All of the parts in this version are metal (no plastic parts). Comes with illustrated instructions for use in various applications (duplicating angles, shapes, marking circles, and templating for repetitive operations) with a free carpenter's marking pencil and storage bag. While this version of the tool costs nominally more than the yellow plastic or black metallic versions, the quality is definitely worth the difference in price. In fact, the nicely finished quality of this product may help it find its way to your desk top rather than your tool box.

I like the fact that is is well designed and fits even large framed sunglasses

I haven’t used it yet. But I wish I could have used it earlier when cutting a brick to fit into a difficult position. I like having it in my tool collection.
