Vinyl LP pressing in litho wrapped gatefold jackets, and comes with digital download coupon. 2012 release from the Alt-Rock heroes, the third Dinosaur Jr. album since the original trio J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph reformed in 2005. And, crazily, it marks the band's 10th studio album since their debut on Homestead Records in 1985. Back in the '80s, if anyone has suggested that these guys would be performing and recording at such a high level 27 years later, they would have been laughed out of the tree fort.

Maybe, just maybe.....
Could this be their best ever? I know there are those that say You're Living All Over Me or Bug will hold that distinction. But I'm not so sure. As great as Beyond and Farm are, this is better than either of them. My favorites of their earlier work were Green Mind and Where You Been?, so maybe that says something about me preferences. I really like Don't Pretend you Didn't Know and Almost Fare, but the whole album is simply awesome.

Fuzz Pop Hard Candy
At first listen I wasn't sure about this, but it turns out to be a well-crafted, hard rockin', noisy-candy album from the coolest band to survive the pleistocene. The energy and power are there, along with the superior guitar detail. What is new to me is the buoyant, upbeat bounce on songs like Almost Fare. That took some getting to used to. But just when you think it's going to be a gently bouncing song, it shifts into the effervescing parade trail of hard rock confection: bubbling, oozing, popping, shredding. I only wish J's vocals were a little farther forward in the mix.The cover art tells you what it's gonna sound like inside: reminds me of Zotz!

Probably should be a 5'er
I give this one 4 stars because, out of the D-Jr. records in this decade, it's not as good as the other two, what I give 5 stars. And also, because he played a keyboard. I mean, what the hell? J.? A keyboard? And not even thru a Marshall?

Really Good, Narrow Miss On Great
Dinosaur Jr has been delivering work equal to their Green Mind days with the last two albums. There are a few tracks on I Bet On Sky I didn't care for (perhaps I have unresolved Barlow issues?) but overall this is a solid addition to the catalog. Absolutely worth picking up.

Same As It Ever Was
I too bet on sky. I also bet on Mascis to deliver and this is above average...laconic vocals and rip your face off guitarisizing with sing-along choruses.

Dinosaur Jr. ROCKS!!!!
Since getting back together, Dinosaur Jr. has put out 3 solid albums. This one, "I Bet On Sky", has a wide variety of music that stands out. I definitely recommend this album to anyone who have enjoyed their past albums and anyone else who wants to give them a try!

Excellent, As Always
Since they have reunited, Dinosaur has been consistently making good music, and this is no exception. I definitely miss Lou's in-your-face distorted bass from the old records, though. At the very least, download "Watch the Corners" from this album. If you pull together the best material from Beyond, Farm, and I Bet On Sky, you have one heck of an album. Having said that, for those of you who want the "best" of the material from the last three albums, I assembled the following playlist:1. Almost Ready (Beyond)2. Watch the Corners (Sky)3. Almost Fare (Sky)4. Pick Me Up (Beyond)5. Back To Your Heart (Beyond)6. Over It (Farm)7. Don't Pretend You Didn't Know (Sky)8. See You (Farm)9. Recognition (Sky)10. Pieces (Farm)11. Been There All The Time (Beyond)12. Plans (Farm)13. Your Weather (Farm)14. Said The People (Farm)

The 90s improved
DJR was one of my favorite bands from the 90s. This album is not the 90s, it is a rebirth, a truly great piece of work. If you were a fan of the band, hated the band, or never heard of the band- you will probably like this album.

Good Album
Another great Dinosaur Jr album. Mine needed the releasing agent cleaning off properly and it perhaps isn't the best recording, as my tt (Rega P3 2016 through a Rega tt mk2 pre amp into a Rega Brio-R and PMC TB2's) can make it sound a little harsh. The songs and guitar playing are still excellent though.

I Bet On Sky
Every time Dinosaur Junior release a new album the music is even more superior than the previous one. They are getting better all the time and this album is no exception. Music fans must check it out.
