POLYWOOD GNB48MA Vineyard 48" Bench, Mahogany

I absolutely love all of my Polywood furniture! The bench is the perfect size, it is comfortable, and well worth the money. It matches the rest of my collection and it was easy to put together.

I liked the design and look and how it fits together. The advertisement says it has "stainless steel frame." That is only partially true. The back has a stainless tubular brace and the screws are Stainless steel. HOWEVER, under the seat their is a 1/8x2.5" ORDINARY STEEL bar to brace the front of the seat. I verified this with a magnet. The steel is well painted or powder coated gray color. The stainless seat back brace shows and is stainless. The under steel seat brace does not show and it is not stainless, even though advertised as stainless. That is the only reason for the 4 star rating.As far as the seat comfort goes, it is a personal item, but I was not comfortable in this seat-- my hip was tilted down at the back too much for me, due to the profile of the seat bottom. FYI Polywood has other bench models without the curved seat bottom that fit me much better.

These benches are very well constructed, solid, attractive and will last a life-time. They are fairly easy to put together, but it goes best if two people are working in tandem. An excellent purchase!

This is a nice bench which we hope will complement our driveway for a good long while. After all they do have a 20 YEAR guarantee! The instructions were reasonably easy to follow and assembly just required the supplied driver and a regular Phillips screwdriver (preferably electrical) for the under seat support. Once assembled it really is so close to a wood bench in looks that you would be hard pressed to see the difference from more than a few feet away.HELPFUL HINT: Don't confuse the screws there is a single center screw that goes in by the Polywood logo that is easily confused with the screws that go into the metal bar across the back, just enough of a difference in thread that it doesn't work.I would have given a 5 star rating, but the predrilled holes for the back were off by about 1/5th of an inch, so it took a bit of brute force to get them together. Also the staples which hold the slats in on the rear of the seat had come out at one end. I pushed them back in and now that it is together I'm sure they won't be able to pop out again. In something that costs this much, it would be nice if everything worked perfectly.In use I have to say it is very comfortable, it has enough shape to the seat and width to let someone get quite comfortable.

Have purchased several Polywood brand products and recommend them. This bench was purchased for a townhouse common area that will see a lot of use. We have received many compliments on this bench for the style and quality . The only negative comment is that I feel the leg dimensions should be thicker. The bench is sturdy enough and was easy to assemble. The metal inserts behind the seat crossbars are a nice feature that is not apparent in the photos or product description and add to the sturdiness. I will continue to prefer Polywood brand for these outdoor products. Good value for the price.
