Very happy for the money.
Exactly what I was hoping for. Hardware is of normal quality. Leather seems quite good. Very sturdy. Plenty of adjustability. 45-70 does fit but takes considerable force to get it in and out. It is comfortable and the hold loop is in the correct spot.

Pretty decent sling.
I have other slings on other rifles and they are of a sturdier quality, but this is relatively nice, considering what I paid for it. I think it would be better suited for lighter rifle (i.e. .300 or smaller). Nothing bad to say about it.

Beautiful and useful sling
Really happy with this purchase. Beautifully compliments the look of my walnut and blued Henry lever action. A good cowboy rifle needs a leather sling! Not only looks good but looks very functional. The thumb hole works perfectly for balancing the load on your shoulder. Makes the already light rifle super comfortable to carry. Has plenty of notches to adjust length with solid, easy to adjust and fashionable hardware. Did use a drop of blue locktite as insurance. The 5 bullet loops hold 357 rounds perfectly, even though I never trust those things in the field. After reading a couple of the comments I bought the model without the provided slings mount, Installed my ownof tried and true Uncle Mikes sling mounts. Works perfectly with the Henry. Treated with Skidmore's Leather Cream conditioner to protect and reduce initial stiffness. The product darkened the leather just a bit making it better match. The thick leather will loosen up with use, but this just moved it along a bit.
