Security IP POE Camera 1080P HD Bullet Camera

This camera is below the usual price range for a 1080P POE camera - so my big question was "what's the catch?" ...PROS:1. The price.2. Compatible with Blue Iris.3. During the daytime, provides a decent picture.4. Flexible mounting bracket.CONS:1. Frames per second gets really low at night. I set it for 1080P/30 using "Fixed Quality" and "Very High" options. In the daytime, it seems to work as intended. Blue Iris reports 29 or 30 FPS. In the dark however, it sticks at either 15 fps or 5 fps! I have no idea what the magic settings are to override this behavior.2. Blue Iris users like me won't care, but it looks like the viewer is only supported in IE, not Edge or Chrome. (You can hit Start Run "iexplore.exe" in Windows 10). Note you can still manage settings in Chrome, and you can play the live stream in VLC media player as well.3. POE is not the standard kind, but it works.4. Some very slight blurring at extreme outer corners of the picture.CONCLUSION: Comparing this $37 camera to my $110 Hikvision DS-2CD2032-I camera, the Hikvision is the clear winner in smoothness and picture quality. However, this camera is definitely useful and impressive for the price, especially in the daytime. If I can get the night FPS issue resolved I would probably upgrade this review from 3 to 4 starts.

WATCH OUT: The web pages and data will load extremely slowly, if at all from this camera if placed on a Gigabit ethernet port! While tracking down the issue, I switched to a spare 10/100BT switch and it worked as expected. Some other reviewer(s) mentioned this issue without any solution. As others have written, this camera is not true POE, but rather uses its included injector cabling to accomplish pretty much the same thing, but NOT compatible. Since I ordered an alternate product is now available with POE.Image is remarkably clear for the price. All of the required electrical adapters are included. There are some curious cylindrical plastic pieces included, but nothing in the instructions about how and where they can fit or what their purpose is. Overall, a good buy!Compatible with the Mac DVR software: Security Spy.Supports DHCP! glad I don't have to grab a spare router in order to configure these cameras with a fixed LAN IP which starts 192.168...

Im in between satisfaction with my purchase of several of these ....I bought them thinking the cameras feed has audio ...IS DOES NOT HAVE AUDIO. other than that the video is 7/10 (that is with the 'highest' definition) and the material is pretty good ...sturdy for exterior use.... I suggest to the seller they include audio or no audio in the features section of the product page.... If i knew it has no audio , I would have spent my money elsewhere.....

11/7/2017 - Software Just barely good enough. Mounting bolt mollies are for cement, not drywall. You get what you pay I suppose. The driver mini cd that came with it was blank for both cameras i ordered. Zero quality control. Picture is dark in bright light, will see tomorrow how they night vision worked. I have 33 cameras in my 502 grow operation. Can't have video down time. Will update this review when the camera fails.

Just installed the first of 3 of these cameras that I purchased. There seems to be a lot of noise on the CCD, every frame has some garbled bits on it, which is kind of annoying. Plus even though the description says "POE", they are not real power over ethernet, they require you to use the included splitter and power adapter. Which works well enough, but I would have liked to have used my PoE switch.

You'll notice many reviews for this are written in broken English. I don't think there are many real reviews here (but mine is real :)).The camera itself works fine, but to get an alert sent to your email or to set up alerts is very difficult. I'm pretty tech savvy but it's not straight forward. It's pretty decent value for the price though.EDIT: I got it to work, but you have to enter your email password, which results in your email security alerting you, so you have to change the settings to make your email less secure. It's not a good system.EDIT: Started receiving email spam after using my email for the system. Never got the video playback to work only the image snap shot. I'll be sending this camera back (reduced from 3 stars to 2 stars). All reviews for this camera are fake IMO.

I bought the version with the "injector kit" because I didn't have a power outlet anywhere near where I wanted to put my camera. I also didn't want to buy a true POE camera plus an injector, that decision was a matter of budget. So far, the kit is working fine on a 50' Cat-6 cable.At first, I was trying to use the web management software in Internet Explorer to set up FTP images to my TP-Link router. It was easy enough to do, but the arrangement was really wonky, working great for days and then for no clear reason not working at all. Lee at IPCCam was very patient and he certainly tried to be helpful, but between the two of us we couldn't find a permanent fix. So here's what I did, and we are now good to go.I used the web software to reset the camera to factory default. I stopped the FTP service on my router. I installed iSpy (64-bit) on my Windows 10 desktop computer. NOW I have a camera that is working GREAT, without any glitches or down time. The added bonus of using iSpy is that I get a 10-second clip of a motion-detection event, instead of a single (sometimes blurry) image. I am loving it.The camera (and support) gets 5-stars, because it works as advertised and as expected. I suggest using 3rd-party software for the best user experience.

Neulich sind viele Häuse nebenbei eingebrochen. Daher zum ersten mal probiere ich diese Socherheitsystem. Die Einstellung ist nicht zu schwer, dauerte ca. 1 Stunde, Handy App inkl. Der Sicht ist super klar, sogar wenn draußen ganz dunkel ist. Allgemein es hat gut geklappt.
