Actually Krank Distortus Maximus Is One Of The Best High Gain Disotrtion Pedals I've Ever Played With...If You're Planning To Get It Buy A Noise Reduction Pedal With It Because It Produces Too Much Noise When You Leave The Guitar Or When You're Not Playing With It.If You're Looking For A High Gain Distortion Pedal I Recommend For You Krank Distortus Maximus :)

I have no experience with a real Krank amp so I can't compare this pedal to its amp counterpart, but playing it through a Jet City 333 20 Watt Head on clean produced great sounds. It won't give you that over the top rectified Rammstein type distortion but it does give you a metal distortion that's good for most metal purposes. But this pedal gave my Jet City amp a modern big distortion sound if played in conjunction with the amp's distortion. Please note the this pedal is not good for solid state amps. I ran it through a Tech 21 Trademark 30 amp and it didn't sound like a metal pedal. It sounded like an overdrive pedal. I'm not a tube snob by any means. There are some pedals out there that can make a solid state amp sound like a rectified monster but this pedal is not one of them.

I expected a little more from this pedal but it's a has a really good distortion. The distortion is not dirty at all, the notes come out nice and clean.

simply this is the best distortion out therei give it 4 out of 5 coz when i recive it i found that all knobs not in thier place and u can replace it back which its annoyinexpect this its great pedal just spend some time to understand it coz its a little bit tricky one
