Great mouse!
The scroll wheel on my old Microsoft Basic optical mouse decided to stop working and to start preventing the normal function of the right click button so I had to buy a new one. At first I started looking at Microsoft mice again but, as I kept browsing, I remembered that a friend of mine not long ago ordered a Razer Deathadder Elite and was quite happy with it. It’s also worth mentioning that I’ve had a look at this mouse before at one time (don’t think it was the Elite though) since it kind of reminded me of that great Intellimouse series Microsoft put out years ago which I loved (but, sadly, they stopped making them). It’s worth mentioning that I’m a claw grip user and had problems adjusting to the shape of it at first, but I think that was only because all the mice I’ve used in the past had their right side not as round as this one’s which provided enough gripping space for my ring finger (necessary for lift-offs). I actually thought about returning it after the first day but kept sticking with it, even though the thought of returning it stayed with me. After two and a half weeks I can say that I got used to it and quite like the shape of this mouse. The materials used seem to be of good quality. The sensor on this thing is amazing! I really love the way it tracks even when slightly lifting it off the pad. It glides easily and is precise. The shape of LMB and RMB is perfect for palm grip, good for fingertip grip and decent for claw grip. The scroll wheel is perfectly positioned, the rubber on it gives good grip, its feedback while scrolling is just perfect and the RGB lighting in it is a nice bonus. The logo also has RGB lighting and you can select the colour and/or effects for both of them or separately. The cable is long enough and it’s braided which should provide enough longevity. The only reason this mouse got 3 stars instead of 5 is that the clicking mechanism on the LMB (left mouse button) randomly becomes mushy instead of being responsive and “clicky”. My friend has the same problem on the RMB. I guess they got greedy and went for a cheaper part for that. Not exactly what I would expect from a mouse this expensive or, for that matter, from a company like Razer but they all do it at some level. You might not be so unlucky and get one that actually works the way it’s supposed to.Update:I think the left mouse button problem is solved. Haven’t experienced it in a while so I guess that all it needed was a bit of usage, kind of like a breaking in period.Something else I can add to this review is that I changed the mousepad (got the Razer Firefly Hard Surface as a birthday gift) and it greatly improved the tracking on this mouse. It’s also much easier to move it around on the Firefly, it’s almost like it glides freely on it.Another thing to mention is the two buttons on the side of the mouse which changed my view on mice in general as they’re a must-have, capable of simplifying any task.

My first left hand mouse
For years I have used right handed mice and suffered the wrist ache as a result, Lets face it paying extra for a left hand mouse is shameful to the manufacturers and an insult to us lefties. This is my first left hander and as soon as I put my hand on it, it felt great, like it belonged in my hand. The wheel can be a bit clunky when scrolling but it has a great tactile feel so no slipping under finger. The wheel button is positive and solid. The two thumb buttons could be a bit further forward (for people like me with big hands) but they to have a positive feel to them,Weighted just right, doesn't feel cheap and the curve of the mouse feels natural.Response is fantastic and smooth, great for gaming. The left and right buttons feel firm and positive. The cable is light and does not impede movement with a solid usb termination.Overall great mid range mouse. Only strange thing is the flashing/pulsing logo, my hand is over it most of the time so why bother?

Changes the way you use the mouse :)
So i bought the razer deathadder lh around a month ago, and so its gotten a month of hardcore gaming usage, and quite frankly i love it.i'm a left handed gamer who previously used an ambidextrous mouse with a righthanded button setup.when the mouse came it had a lefthanded button setup which felt really weird, however in the 5 minutes it took me to install the drivers and software, when it came to switching the buttons back to my previous right handed setup it felt unatural and so i kept it on the left-handed button setup.all the programable functions and side buttons work great and are reckognised by all games i play.presicion is really good, i can perform slow accurate movements as well as fast snap of flick movements.you'll probably have read all the glowing reviews for the deathadder though and as its essentially the same, i wont go into tehcnical details, other than to say i find the scroll wheel to be pretty noisey and when you perform fast movements with the mouse the scroll sort of shakes around inside the mouse. this has no adverse affects on gameplay other than it feels a bit odd having something rattling around inside. thats th only reason i gave it four and not 5 stars. but yeah, as a left handed gamer i thought this might be a bit wierd or gimicky, but it totaly isnt.also, if anyone's interested im using it with a steelseries qck+ mousematt and i think they're a SUPERB combination, tracking is great and because its cloth the mouse feet will last forever(ish). and it was only a 10er, just thought you guys might be intrested :)

Excellent left handed gaming mouse
Let me start by saying I have owned 2 of these mice for a total of about 3.5 years and I am on the whole very satisfied. This was my first experiment with left handed specific mice and now I don't think i could go back to using a traditional mouse. The feel of it is great, the buttons well positioned and it is as precise as you'll ever want. The only issue i had was that after a year on my first mouse, the left button started to deteriorate and began to register more than once click whenever I clicked it. However, Razer are excellent as a company and they provided me with a new one with no hassle after sending the damaged one back. Since then, I have had no problems with the second mouse. It may be a bit pricey but is well worth it for both comfort and ease of use. If you've never owned a left-handed mouse before and you play games often, this is your mouse.
