Great mouse
Great mouse - has lasted me years so far without any problems. It'd nice and grippy in the hand, and comfortable to hold. I think it looks quite nice, and the buttons are useful. The software is pretty easy to use. My only problem is that it is not wireless.

Durable, highly customisable, reprogramable with a top notch sensor, great value for money
The first decent gaming mouse I brought and loved, used to use cheap mouses thinking it wouldn't make much difference ooooh boy was i wrong. This mouse changed my opinion greatly, it's the sensor, it's fantastic in this logitech mouse, a cheap mouse if you try to play a shooter game then yank the mouse fast to turn around the sensor can't keep up you'll end up looking at the sky in game or the floor.G402 has great software program aswell i could rebind all the mouse buttons and even emulate keyboard button binds on the mouse button in case a game for whatever silly reason doesn't support mouse side buttons, it had a dpi shift button to drop the sensitivity temporarily upon holding down the button is good for thoose super long range sniper shots. It never really fit my hand very well but i have smaller chuncky hands, if you have longer fingers and skinny hand this'll be a good fit.

Logitech G402 Gaming Mouse Review - By Alex
Note: I bought the Logitech G402 on sale for 31.00 GBP. This may slightly change my review and make it more positive then if i had bought it for the full price but the mouse does seem to go on sale quite a lot so if you see it at full price try waiting for a sale.Too Long; Didn't Read at the bottom. The Logitech G402 is a great mouse. It comes with 8 programmable buttons although take note that figure includes Mouse 1 and Mouse 2 and the Scroll which, most likely, you aren't going to change the function of. Nonetheless it still has a lot of extra buttons to use for whatever you want. The mouse is feels relatively light and the feet are good so there are no problems moving it around the mousepad. The mouse clicking buttons (M1 and M2) feel great and are advertised to have a durability of 20 million clicks which should be sufficient for a long time. The scroll wheel isn't great but it is still more than useable for gaming. I don't think this should deter you from buying the product but is worth knowing about. The extra button placement is ok but not great. There are two extra buttons to the left of the mouse 1 button which by default are used to change between dpi settings. means you can easily press them with your pointer finger but I found I occasionally accidentally pressed them and this led me to die in games a couple times before i gave up and unbounded them. There is also a "sniper" button which when you pressed would lower your dpi to make precision movements easier. I think this is more of a gimmick than anything else and it had a very forward placement that made it hard to press the button in the first place but you can bind the button to do anything else you want to so it doesn't matter if you don't like the sniper mode. There are also two other buttons on the side of the mouse that are by default used for back and forward for browsing web pages. Not much to say about these buttons. Easy to press because of the location and they feel great but a tiny bit mushy and they are also fully customisable. Now for the best bit about the mouse and probably the number one reason to buy the mouse, the sensor. Logitech have made sure there is no acceleration or smoothing and the tracking feels amazing. Also the inclusion of the Fusion Engine means that you can move the mouse extremely fast and still have it track your movements properly and it is definitely useful and can also be toggled on and off but I can't think of any reason to turn it off.If you do want acceleration Logitech provides the option for it in its software which you can download off the internet on their website. You can choose to save the mouse settings on the mouse's onboard memory or on the computer. This means if you go to a LAN party or upgrade your computer the mouse will keep its settings which is a nice touch. The software is intuitive and more than useable and I haven't encountered any errors or bugs. The software that you can use for the mouse includes different customisation options like 3 different presets for dpi. The mouse has a resolution of 240-4000 and can go up in increments of 80 which seems like a strange number and means it may not be as accurate as you want it to be if you are switching from another mouse. You can switch the dpi on the fly which is quite useful for some people but I just keep it on one dpi setting as I found that I accidentally pressed the dpi modifiers sometimes which could be frustrating. On the side of the mouse is a dpi light which can have up to 3 lights lit up which shows which setting of dpi you are on.You can also change the lighting on the singular Logitech G logo (although it will can only be blue) and make it breath or just keep it static or turn it off.The mouse is ergonomic but the right side of the mouse where my ring finger and pinky go feels a little cramped and I have a medium sized hand so it may be a problem for people with large hands but it should still be useable.Overall the mouse is definitely worth its price on sale but at full price it may need a little thought. Other good options at a slightly higher price point is the G502 which has RGB lighting and more buttons and customisable weighting and a better scroll wheel with "infinite scroll"TL;DR The Logitech G402 is definitely worth the price on sale with its amazing sensor and fusion engine. It has good ergonomics for medium sized hands and the software is great to use with full mouse customisability. If you are looking to upgrade from a cheap mouse then this will serve you well for a long time.

Great all rounder
My go to mouse. Good performance when gaming and also the extra buttons are really good for macros as well. It's light enough, with a decent bit of weight to it, so it feels well built. I actually bought this one as a gift, as I already have one.I have had mine for 3 years and it is still as good as new. Lighting on it is not too obtrusive, easy to use and the software is okay. I have quite small hands but this is really comfortable to use, the person I gifted to has bigger hands and they have also said the design is comfy for them too. This is a great all-rounder mouse for casual gaming.

6 Year Review - Sturdy everyday and gaming mouse!
I've had this mouse for around 6-7 years now and I have to say I am very happy with it and has done everything I have needed it to do.I've used this almost every day and it has put up with so much over the years. I would buy another, but it looks like the G502 is about the same price these days. I hardly used all the programmable buttons, apart from changing the buttons to change the sensitivity for both gaming and photoshop. The only downside would be the scroll wheel. Don't get me wrong, it's great, but I think the mouse is coming to it's end after 6 years, because clicking the middle wheel sometimes counts as clicking twice.Overall, 5/5 mouse!

I'm not an expert, but feels great to use
As above, I'm not too technical with mice, but this one feels so much nicer to use than my previous Trust GXT. The material has this really premium quality to it and it provides a very smooth glide on my mat. The thumbrest is well-sized for my large hands and the additional side buttons are well-placed. Personally, I don't have much use for the dedicated on-the-fly sensitivity change buttons, but they're a welcome feature nonetheless.I just wish the cable was braided like the Trust, but this is still a great mouse at a great price. Again, I'm not an expert or professional gamer, but I feel like when compared to all my previous mice, this one is worth the hype for both gaming and casual use.
