Official Scouting Badge Blanket (For Bedding, Camping, Display and Badge Collectors)

They arrived ahead of time. I bought 2. They are huge blankets for our two kids - one a cub & one a scout. 70% wool and they feel it. They are heavy, well made, and well worth £25 each. These will last a long time and will get fiiled with badges. I woukld highly recommend these blankets for your little cubs, brownies, guides and scouts.

great blanket for the price, it has a label with the usual info about avoiding flame, I held a lighter directly to the blanket for 10 secs with only slight scorch mark and slight smell.

The blanket did have a noticeable 'chemical' smell when it came out of the wrapper, but it has steadily faded over the two or three weeks we've had it. I predict in three or four months it’ll be gone. My son, whose blanket it is, did not notice (or at least, mention) the smell.In terms of quality, this is not the greatest blanket you’ll ever buy. However, for £20 I think if represents reasonable value. It is large, warm (mostly wool) and appears to be fairly hard wearing (think old-style army blanket). On the negative side it is a bit roughly made (I had to reinforce the edging with some stitches) and slightly scratchy. On the whole though, fine as a camp/badge blanket for a Scout. You could pay £60 for a 100% wool blanket and not get anything significantly better.

This blanket makes a perfect camp blanket. It is so huge I need to collect some more badges! I am sure it will keep me warm when I go camping! I cut a hole and used blanket stich to make it into a poncho.

Good size blanket, bought this so I can sow badges on and take it to a mega geocaching camp. It is really warm and massive! The wool can sometimes be itchy mind

Brilliant size blanket (it’s massive!!)Thick and heavy duty, brilliant to fill with patches and badges.However the smell of the blanket is unreal, I have washed it 3 times and had it on the line to air and it’s still has a very heavy chemical smell to it. Almost over powering.

Arrived quickly and first impressions is that it is very good quality. Very heavy but is does have a very strong chemical smell. I totally ignored the washing instructions and threw it in the washing machine and then the dryer, came out softer but still with a residue of the smell. Can only presume it has been impregnated with some form of moth repellent but not particularly healthy of your child suffers from breathing problems.

Arrived with undone stitching. Too much hassle to return so restitched it myself.
