I saw a similar lid from a different manufacturer with a handle similar to a pan lid, but it was somewhat expensive for just one large lid. So, I looked on Amazon to see if there was a better price - there wasn't - but there were alternatives, a set of five for less than the price of that single lid.The lids are a little strange to get used to, relying on suction. You place the right sized lid over a pan or bowl and lift the centre ridge and it is sealed, with suction so tight you can actually lift a pan – something I discovered with an empty pan when working out how it worked. I wouldn’t recommend it with a full pan though.Being silicon, they can also be used as a pan lid, or even as protectors to stand hot pans on or to give extra grip for opening a stubborn jar.Once fitted on a pan or bowl, food is covered and air tight and the lid is an effective replacement for cling film.Unlike cling film, though, it won’t cover a bowl, for example, if the food sticks up in the middle above the height of the rim, and it only works if the container is level, the seal being broken if the bowl or pan is tilted so that the contents reach the rim.Once you accept that placing a floppy sheet over a pan or bowl creates an effective seal, then they are quick and easy to use, and reuse over and over again. Cleaning is easy as well, either by normal washing up, or in the dish washer.All in all, a really useful and effective product which helps to save on single use plastics.

Well made, seem of good durable thickness. Have used as pan covers on stove (just make sure flame isn't bigger than the base of pan!) As well as bowl covers. They double up as splash guards, mats to rest utensils when not being used as lid, cover to hold hot handles etc. Convinced me to finally bin my broken pan lids! I used a simple screw in hook to hang them on inside of my cupboard. They take up no room and can still close door fine.

I use these quite often as pan lids and they are much handier than having to have separate lids for everything. My only issues are that the largest one coukd do with beefing up a bit as it sags a bit (about 1" in the middle) when put on a large pan and its a bit fiddly to 'stick' these back together again. But thise are minor niggles. Surprisingly - to me - i have used all the sizes from covering my glass to keep flies away to frying/steaming some veg in my wok.I don't tend to use the suction aspect, but it did seem to work when I tested it. In 'emergencies' I have used the larger ones as pan stands, but the handles tend to get in the way.Also I would have preferred it if they weren't rainbow coloured, but I knew the colours before I bought them.

I bought these as I am trying to reduce my dependence on single use plastic and particularly cling film. They are really good, a useful selection of sizes and very effective in covering bowls in the fridge. The seal which forms is good.

Trying to cut down on using plastic wrap, foil etc for covering food. These are ideal for covering dishes and seem to work well on ceramic and plastic bowls, making a good seal. Easy to use and clean.

These are great use them all the time instead of cling film.

A very good product for microwave or just to cover things in the fridge, over the counter or when out in the garden. Great substitute for cling film.

I am not very happy with them. I dont think it works very well.
