Dad enjoys a good soak. He says the salt helps his skin to stay fresh. At 82 I'd say he looks pretty good so I'd give it a thumbs up. It might be a nice addition to add a scoop so perhaps people know how much to use in the bath. Definitely buy

It’s just sodium. Probably sodium derived from the dead sea, but pure sodium nonetheless. With the rising conflicts in the region especially, actual dead sea salts are more expensive than ever, and it would be wise to always look into deals that seem too good to be true. Actual dead sea salt is roughly 30% magnesium, 20% potassium, and only around 5% sodium. Too much pure sodium in a bath every day will cause you to swell with excess water weight especially under the eyes, and without magnesium and potassium you are losing a lot of the benefits that come from soaking in actual dead sea salts. It will also cause dryness of the skin in the long term, which isn’t great for a product often sought by those with sensitive skin and eczema. If you wanted you could mix in epsom salts 50/50 to make this more usable, however in its current form this product is better suited as a household cleaning product, great for drain unclogging but not so good for you skin. The way this product is advertised is misleading and potentially harmful. I’d recommending finding some actual certifiable dead sea salts not from an amazon seller. They will be double the price and they won’t come tomorrow, but you won’t need to buy and mix two products just to use what you’re buying as it’s advertised to be used. Their own website’s safety data sheets confirms this to be pure sodium. If there are traces of other minerals they are negligible enough not to warrant showing up on the safety data sheet, to say nothing of the impact too much pure sodium can do to the skin. Bath salt recommended proportions are often determined product by product, and most bath salts are primarily if not exclusively magnesium which the body can handle a larger excess of. This product gives no dosage on the packaging, and leaves it up to the consumer to decide for themselves, likely by searching “dead sea salts. The amount of genuine dead sea salt recommended to use in a bath would be calculated considering a 2000% less sodium rich salt. To use the same amount of this product as many other dead sea or magnesium salt products recommend could cause bloating as the body holds onto extra water to attempt to balance out the excess sodium salt. That’s not to say this is useless as a bath salt, but it is far less useful than actual dead sea salts and overuse puts you in far more risk of skin damage than the real thing. Just buy the real thing, this is literally sodium chloride regardless of its source.
