Hawell Universal Quick Release Plate Fits Arca-Swiss Standard for Camera Tripod Ballhead

Bought to replace a lost plate from my Manfrotto element 2 tripod. Initially bought the wrong one (there are a few types of these easy to loose things). £20 part returned. Went on Manfrotto website, they wanted £25 plus vat. The tripod was under £90! Thought I’d try this, seemed too good to be true for the price. It is sturdy enough, fits well and I really don’t know where top brands get their prices from for this essential part. Ok, if I had thousands of pounds worth of camera and lenses I might be wary but for me..brilliant. I’m buying another and leaving one permanently attached to both my cameras. Can’t recommend it enough.

Bought as a back up for my current tripod. Always handy to have a second release plate. Fits really well and locks in like the original, the screw can be a bit fiddly but has a groove so can use a coin or key which is handy when it’s cold.

I bought this as the plate on my Vanguard GH-300T pistol-grip head only had a coin-operated camera screw and I wanted a spare. It seems Arca-Swiss fittings aren't universal as this didn't fit. It has two chrome screws that the website picture labels a "safety switch" but as they stand proud of the base so it wouldn't fit the Vanguard head. I removed the screws and it fits and otherwise seems well made. The Vanguard head has a sprung pin to stop the plate sliding out so it could be that's non-standard but if you need to remove the screws they have a Torx T15 head.

Arrived in good time. Good price an worth every penny. I like to keep one of these on each of my cameras and a longer one on my 400mm. Made of metal with rubber pads to protect the bottom of your camera and to give it some grip. Not willing to pay silly money at the local camera shop, these are great.

Good design suitable for US-style screw-clamp "Arca Compatible" mounts such as RRS, Kirk, Wimberley, Hejnar, Benro. Clamp screw is captive, with coin slot, 4mm hex key, and finger loop. Does not rotate on Nikon body when tightened. Slightly narrow - clamping surfaces would be better (more compatible) if they were about 1.0mm further apart, but this is not a problem with US-style screw-clamp mounts. Probably not suitable for fussy RRS toggle clamps, but not many things are.

Bought this to replace the quick release plate on a Ranger tripod that had got lost. It’s more or less exactly the same as the missing piece. Fits the tripod perfectly, is nice and robust and holds the camera firmly. Will probably buy another as a spare!

The base is 36 mm which is smaller than stated in the description. It slides and not stable.

Al final lo pedí, arriesgando mucho, y no me vale para un trípode de photoline, vamos que no es universal.
