It's never too late to make your life easier...
Fyi, there are some facts and opinions in my writing. If you are someone who like to be warned about TMI (too much information), then look away from my review! Hope that helps! Okay I'm not not a pic of this in use!! Actually I'm only reviewing like this, so Amazon will tell me a joke! The last one was: "Why did turtle break up with the giraffe? They never saw eye to eye" Amazon is pretty funny for telling is joke, but I think them telling jokes is funnier than the joke itself๐ but seriously, I do want to review this, because if you are a person who menstruates, this device could make your life easier. Okay the review... It's a life saver using this... Cups and discs are so much easier to use than tampons. I have had endometriosis removed twice; last time was 2014, so my periods are really B A D. Like, shuts me down completely for days. My body goes through so many changes. I also have PCOS and my ovaries have become home based to many cysts that's come and go over time. It's not easy to deal with pelvic pain of any kind, but what I did not know for too many years, is that tampons were majorly contributing to that pain. Menstrual cups like this one, are designed to fit into the space, inside the body, much higher than a tampon would. Tampons sit lower than that, and put constant pressure on your ovaries. Try that with a larger cyst! Ouch! I still have very painful cycles and painful ovulation between (mittelschmerz), but at least now, I can stop from unknowingly making them worse. I have a box of gloves in each bathroom, that I use when I insert and remove. I have CKD and kidney stones, so it's normal for me to have gloves anyway. It really makes the entire process so much easier, because my sink is not within arms reach for easy cleaning. I dump the blood in the toilet, then clean it off in the sink and use it again. I do bleach my sink after, but that is just because it would really bother me if I just walked away. The instructions say that you can use it for 12 hours at a time. I recommend that you follow this guideline, because there is still a risk of TSS (toxic shock syndrome), which we are warned about in every box of tampons, so it's not really a surprise. It is very rare, but If you haven't heard of it, Google and learn about it, so you can protect yourself and stay on top of your health. Storage is so simple... You just clean off the silicone cup, which is medical grade silicone, and you store it in the handy case it comes. When it's dry, I put it back in the case with a couple of gloves, so it's ready if I need to bring it with me anywhere. It's inconspicuous and easy to travel with. The snap on the case is substantial, and it holds really well. Overall, the case fits in the palm of my hand. See pic. I thought about getting period panties as back up, but right now, all I am using is this cup. And I love it. It genuinely makes my life so much easier. Menstrual cups have changed my life in ways I did not expect. The reasons include, decreaded perioy pain, reusability, easy to insert and remove, no waste whatsoever (except the glove, but that's a personal choice), inconspicuous storage case for portability and travel, ready to clean. I can't even tell I am using it! I recommend this product to a any person who experiences a period. Once you get used to process, you will be so much happier for it. As a matter of fact, it's so invisably felt, that you might need to set alarms for every 12 hours, as a reminder to empty and clean it! I will prob get a second one to keep in my purse all the time. You will not regret this purchase and you'll be prepared the next time Aunt Flo comes to town, with all your cousins in tow! ๐

A great alternative!
So itโs only been 24 hours since I started using this, but hereโs how it went: I got the small- Iโm 28 and have not had kids. When I got it, it ended up being towards the end of my period, so a light flow. I was more comfortable starting then anyway, I was less concerned about leaking and much of a mess. I folded it and used according to the diagrams and didnโt have any trouble. Compared to inserting a tampon with an applicator, it does feel like youโre going deeper. There wonโt be anything external (like a string with a tampon). It also seemed like it didnโt โpopโ open all the way from being folded. I read some reviews that said thatโs okay, so I went with it. Again, I had very light flow and wasnโt overly concerned. In the end there wasnโt any leaking. I wore it for several hours and had no issues. I was nervous about suction and taking it out, but didnโt have issues there. I specifically chose this one because of the ball at the end, it really does make it easier to take out I think. There was a little bit of suction (and it did make a noise lol). With inserting and removing, I did have one foot on the edge of the tub, which seemed to give me the angle I needed. I put it back in to wear overnight. In the middle of the night, I woke up and I noticed some very mild cramping/pressure where it was placed. It could definitely have been that I didnโt have it exactly right, or from using tampons previously. It wasnโt anything that would stop my normal activities or prevent me from using it again. Overall, Iโm pretty happy with how itโs going! The price was amazing compared to others too.

Great Cup with convenient Storage Box
I really like this menstrual cup. They are not all created equally. Before trying this brand, Athena cup was always my preference - I must say that I like this one just as much. The storage case that it comes with is great -much better option than some of them offer. The storage box makes it easy to keep with you, in case you need it. Inconspicuous too. ๐

Something New
I was a little nervous about trying this for the first time, but itโs been so much better then tampons.

Switch to this immediately!
I swear by cups. Less frequent changes. Does take a little bit of a learning curve but once you learn itโs nice. Not painful either. Maybe tmi but cups actually shorten the duration for me! I went from 8 days to 5.

Wanted to Love It, But Comfort Was an Issue
I really wanted to switch to a more sustainable option, so I gave the Menstrual Cup a try. I used it for an entire cycle, even though I didnโt love it at first, because I wanted to give it a fair chance. Unfortunately, the material felt too firm for me, which made it uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I appreciate that itโs eco-friendly and comes with a storage box, but comfort is a big factor and this just didnโt work for my body. I know menstrual cups can be life-changing for some, and I wish this one had worked for me. If youโre used to firmer cups or donโt mind a bit of rigidity, it might be worth trying. But for those with sensitivity or who are new to cups, this might not be the best fit.

Comfortable, Hygienic, and Travel-Friendly
I really like this menstrual cup. The storage case is great for traveling or keeping it stored in a clean and hygienic way. The material feels soft and comfortable, and it does not change color with use, which I really appreciate. Itโs also very easy to clean. The base is slightly shorter than other cups Iโve tried, and I personally love that because itโs not visible and you donโt feel it at all while wearing it. Overall, a very comfortable and practical product. Highly recommended!

Honestly, this was probably one of my best purchases! The size is perfect, love that I don't need to buy tampons anymore! Money saver! Learning how to use it was super super easy! Highly recommend!

works great, takes practice
works great! Ive had a few times were I've had leaks but i think its due to not making sure it sets correctly. It does take a few tries before you get used to it but would recommended for sure.

Great, but material did not work for me.
This is the first menstrual cup I ever used. At first, it was really good, couldn't feel it all. Then I realized my cramps were getting much worse- extending to the last day of my period, which never happens to me. I realized the material of the cup is too stiff for my body, as my cramps immediately went away when I took it out. Other than that, it worked really well- a bit of learning curve, but so much cleaner feeling in the long run. I will try another cup and see if it works for me, but I'm sure this one will work for many :)

Bye bye tampons
This does exactly what it says itโs going to do! I used this once and never went back to using tampons. On normal flow days I usually get to 12 hours but on heavier flow days itโs more like 10!

Just be safe!
My first time with a cup. A bit of a learning curve. I got a small and it got stuck for a Day. I almost went to the er. Even if I break the suction it doesn't feel like I did so it's a little scary. I do like it obviously but I'd prefer if there was a ring that broke the seal upon removal but still a great product. Saves you so much money. I got this cup cheaper then a box of tampons or pads... love it. Just a little scary lol
