Sharpest Machete I could achieve
I also have a paddle strop and use DBK Diamond compound. It works great and between my Ken Onion Professional WorkSharp: it got my Condor Amalgem razor sharp. Well, I took a shot in the dark with this purchase thinking it seemed genius in concept.Well, I will not say it has my large blade as hair-whittling edged like my knives with the DBK Compound/Leather Strop paddle, because it does not feel near as sharp (and could be Geometry). However, it is quite a bit sharper than when I used the paddle on my Machete. It cuts through a sheet of telephone paper even quieter/cleaner. Quick Specs: 12" Blade @ 1.5Lbs. 1075 Carbon Steel @ 0.18" (4.5 mm).I will also take the advice of another reviewer and throw some Grumpies Blade butter on the back end of the belts and let's them absorb before next use. Thanks for the awesome product and I certainly recommend for those wanting extra big blades near-as-sharp to your sharpest knife.

Way better than the Ken Onion cloth stropping belts!
As the title says. I was using the Ken Onion cloth stropping belts for the blade grinding attachment and my knives came out just okay. But the cloth belts deteriorated quickly and did a strop I thought was only on par. Got these as a replacement and ohhh man! The finish on my knives now are tip top!Where the leather belt is glued together, they were sanded down for a smooth transition. Now my stropping belts run smoother with less "slapping" the blade. The compound provided with these belts are also superior. I was able to put a precision edge and mirror finish within half the time of the cloth belts.Definitely worth the money!

Oil them first!
The media could not be loaded. If your are going to throw these on the blade grinder made sure you oil them first! Throwing the dry non playable brand new strop on will just tear it apart and perhaps break it! I use olive oil but I thing any decent cooking oil or honing oil would suffice!

Difficulty at first.
This is a thick strop. It fit very snug and the Work-Sharp spun without being able to catch the belt. It took some playing around with smoothing out the backside with some sandpaper.
