An absolute godsend
One of my rescue bulldogs really suffers with his feet. We are currently on a long course of expensive antibiotics for recurring aggressive interdigital cysts. On top of that he has hyperkeratosis on his front pads. My Vet tells me in addition his body has tried to compensate by growing extra pads which as you can imagine aren’t as robust as his original proper pads. They are much softer and therefore more sensitive when he walks. We have tried a couple of the top brands for dog footwear and they all have the same problem of twisting on his foot as one of his paws splays to the side as he walks and we’ve ended up having to take them off on his walks. I didn’t have high hopes of these and the original plan was to fit these over his dog socks so he got the cushioning of his socks with the feeling and flexibility still intact. He set off in his socks and rubber boots very happily , never seen him so quick on his pins however his socks started to slip down and gather at the end of his toes. I had no option but to stop and remove the boots to take off the socks. Not to be deterred I replaced his boots straight onto his paws and expected him to slow down again but he was off again at a pace rarely exhibited in a slightly overweight bulldog. Personally I would like them just a tadge thicker which would suit my needs better however that said my boy is as happy as can be in them and can enjoy way more variety in his walks now they don’t have to be predominantly grass based. Incidentally one of the Vets at the practice recommends these for a variety of different dogs and their needs and I would echo that recommendation. They may appear very tight however they are super stretchy so certainly don’t cut off their circulation. Size wise we got large for our male bulldog, paw width approx 3inches.

Good product
We bought these 'boots' for our little Yorkiepoo, who is recovering from a broken leg and needs to keep his dressing dry when outdoors. They certainly prevent any damp or seepage and he has no problem walking with them on, however, choosing the right size is difficult. Our dog is small, just under 4kgs in weight, with really skinny legs, so we opted for the extra small size. These were far too tight and too small. We then went 2 sizes up to medium. Even these were incredibly tight to open, so what we had to do was cut a slit about 2cm either side of the 'boot' to enable them to slip on. If your dog is awkwark or unresponsive like ours you may need 2 people in order to get them on. But, overall, they do keep the dressing dry, so they achieve their purpose.

Best dog shoes for IVDD feet dragging
Pawz dog boots have been amazing. We have used them for a few years and are the only dog boots we have re-bought. We use them as my dog has a neurological condition that means he drags his feet on the floor. These protect them. They stay on and although can slip off sometimes, that’s just because we didn’t notice that the shoe slid down the paw. The only dog paw shoe that I think is practical/usable without being frustrating.

Very poor quality
These boots used to be high-quality and we could rely on them when taking our dog on walks, they would stay on and be consistently durable. There’s no doubt that there has been a big change in quality regarding the boots, at best the boots only last for one or two walks then we find holes and tears in the boots. Very disappointed as we used to know they would stop our dogs paws scratching and bleeding.

It's OK
Good wee boots only problem is opening is so small not easy to get on and tight on my dog leg but good protection for the paw solved the problem by cutting of the top bit

Worked well
Worked well and stayed on. Quite tight around top so I slit it slightly and applied a piece of tape. Kept the main bandage dry and my German shepherd didn't mind wearing it (even although she is a coward)! I could use the same boot more that once so was quite economical.

Tight fitting even the large size
These would be good if you just want to keep dogs paws dry. However, they have no padding whatsoever, and are rather tight on the leg and quite difficult to put on.

Amazing
So so pleased with these little shoes. I bought the xs size for my 11 year old pug who has myelopathy. She’s just recently started to drag her back feet so much that they bleed. I was recommended this brand. They look like small balloons. My pug doesn’t love them going on, hopefully in time this will become her routine but once on she doesn’t notice them so I assume they’re comfy for her. In addition she can also walk very well in them. They stay on well and one pair (6 pairs in pack) has been used for 6 walks before a small hole has appeared. I’ve put the hole on the bottom of her foot now to extend the use. They are waterproof, easy to use, good thick quality and most of all have done a great job of protecting her feet so as not to cause any further damage or bleeding.
