FOLDING SHOVEL / SPADE WITH PICK INCLUDES POUCH

This product is very good at this price, it is very well made and is quite sturdy too. It folds down and can fit into a small bag that is attachable to your belt. It is much stronger than it looks and can take quite a bit of abuse. If you are into metal detecting and want something small, light and easy to carry this will work perfectly for your needs. There is also a small compass on the tip of the handle which can be quite useful if you are camping out in the middle of nowhere. A great little gadget that comes in handy quite a bit. The one I received was a branded one made by 'Maplins'.

It's OK, if you want to travel light when detecting or perhaps to use once you have already used a shovel to remove the top of the hole you are digging, this would be OK to further excavate the loosened earth below. I don't think I would use it on it's own on tougher, stony ground.The zip on the little bag broke within a couple of days.

Small but this tool is no sissy. Shorter than I thought means I have to get down and dirty with my dodgy back; would be EVEN BETTER if it had a longer extending shaft which I wouldn't mind paying more for. A useful tool for the garden too and great for the money - I've no complaints, its discrete and the serrated edge and pick is a very useful addition - anything to save carrying obtrusive tools around can't be bad. Can't wait to test it out literally in the field.

This is one of the best, if not the best fold-away, pocket sized spade/shovel that I have seen. Strong construction. Handle made of sectioned, fairly thick, tubular steel with two rubber hand grips. The spade end is made of fairly thick steel that would not be easily bent. Once taken apart and folded, it fairly easily fits nicely into a coat pocket. For the price it is being sold at, it is worth every penny. I am using mine for digging up metal detecting finds. I would recommend this product if you are metal detecting or camping.

very very happy with this little gem of a shovel really great for building Dakota fire pit for my wild camping outings, its very strong if you wanted even stronger just replace the bolt pin with a stainless steel bolt and nutt.but I didn't need to do this ,folds down to under 6inch comes in its own little bag ,light for a steel folding shovel,the screw in handle takes it to a good enough length for leverage for digging,also has a little compass im very impressed with it and far better than the other folding shovel with sideways handle,trust me this little shovel is brilliant....ATB...colin

This is not the shovel pictured.It does not "COMES WITH 2 HANDLE GRIPS UNLIKE OTHERS ", it is the same as the others you see on amazon.The one in the picture looks more solid, thicker, proper bolt through it.This one will bend and fall apart pretty easily. The one pictured might or might not be better, but this is an incorrect listing anyay.

it's made of tin metal, and bendy with a little bit of force whilst you try to dig.perhaps good for sand digging or tulip-pots, but certainly not for rural metal detecting digs. absolute NO-NO-NO. worst shovel ever had in my life.Waste of money

I have only used this once but would be great if I lived in a country that gets more snow.
