MSI come up trumps again
One of these plus Ryzen 7 = cheap performance, I used to have a major downer on Ryzen, turns out I had a duff Ryzen 7 chip and a bunch of cowboys (CCL Computers) who just messed me about and fobbed me off. So eventually I lost patience with them and talked to AMD and they were excellent, posted my chip to Amsterdam and within a week I had a new chip in my hand that works like a champ. So this motherboard then, oooh it's a goody, I've always liked MSI motherboards right as far back as x79, updating the bios was the easiest ever, so simple and totally guided, it saw the memory without issue, set the CPU ratios and off I went.If you are into RGB and pretty colours then you'll love this, there are several areas you can mess with and the colours are very vibrant and infinitely controlable, the lightening effect is particularly impressive.Overclocking? no problem, you can tweak everything in expert mode or go for general bounces in 'my first pc' mode, both work well and courtesy of a be quiet 360 AIO cooler I can hit 4.3Ghz across all 8 cores with total stability, I can go to 4.5 but that's shakier than a alcoholic with a bad hangover, 4.4 obviously is inbetween the two.All up then it's a solid motherboard with all the tweakery you need and pretty lights, wholeheartedly recommend

Great board, well worth it
Everything working as expected once my build was completed. Updated the BIOS and installed some of the software (don’t need all the added bloat thanks) system has been running stable with zero issues & at a steady over clock of 4.2ghz. Over clocking is simple using the menus in the bios and can even been done within windows using the MSI software, overall an awesome looking board, with great features and well made.

5 stars.
I honestly did not have a single problem with this motherboard. I recently did a major upgrade on my gaming PC, to bring it up to date, and this motherboard was one of the new parts that went in.It worked flawlessly and it has quite an attractive BIOS might I say. Just make sure you follow the manufacturers indications regarding RAM placement and other important bits and you should be fine.First thing I did after my newly upgraded PC was up and running, was the mobo BIOS update, which apparently is a very important aspect because it usually fixes compatibility problems with other components in your PC, should you encounter any.I paired this motherboard with a 16gb RAM stick made by Ballistix and a Ryzen 7 1700x (brilliantly cooled by an H80i V2 liquid pump) and everything just works absolutely wonderful.I'm happy with the purchase and thought I would give this product the 5 stars it deserves.Time will tell though if this is indeed a durable motherboard, but after 2 weeks of use, I am perfectly fine with it.

Fantastic X370 board, great price!
I upgrade my PC about a month ago and went for the MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon, it is a fantastic board with a very easy to navigate BIOS meaning setting XMP for my RAM was not an issue. The RGB looks great and the board seems very good quality. My AMD Ryzen 5 1600 works perfectly in it and if I wanted I could put in a Ryzen 7 at a later date. For the price I don't think I could've gotten a better motherboard.

Very good value
Very good looking motherboard. Plenty of connections for storage and four RAM slots. Ample power delivery for my Ryzen 1600 chip and got it to a stable 3.8 ghz at 1.375 volts.

AMD-RYZEN-1700 + MSI-370 Pro Carbon MB-a Work Horse!
After many years I decided to build an enthusiast PC for my Audio-Video-CAD-Gaming needs. I did my homework. My last PC build was based upon Intel platform. This time around, for my budget and computing requirements, I decided to give the new AMD-Ryzen platform a try. Here are my summary build:Motherboard: MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon AM4/AMDCPU: AMD Ryzen-7 1700 @ 3.0GHz Stock speedCPU Cooler: ARCTIC Freezer 33 CO - Semi Passive CPU Tower Cooler with Dual Ball Bearing/Max. Cooling Capacity: 320WRAM SET 1: Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) Vengeance LPX DDR4RAM SET 2: G.Skill F4-3200C15D-32GTZ DDR4SSD: Crucial MX200 250 GB SATA 2.5 inch internalGPU: EVGA GTX 1070 HybridPSU: EVGA 650W P2Casing: Nighthawk 117BD/DVD: Pioneer BDR-209DBK 16x SATA Internal BD/DVD/CD BurnerMonitor: BenQ-VZ2470Setting summary: (attached snapshots)-3.9GHz overclock @1.375 CPU Core Voltage/ Mode4 CPU load-line correction is required (Mode3 is unstable, higher not recommended)-2933MHz DDR4 RAM @ 1.39Volts DRAM voltage (also set Ref. voltage to 0.75 for stability)-RAM timing/Corsair: 18-20-20-20-38 (relaxed/waiting for further BIOS updates)-BIOS version 1.4Set-up Notes:-16gbx2 G.Skill RAM (rated 3200MHz) does not boot above 2667MHz. I returned them after much effort. It could work at higher frequency after few more BIOS updates but I could not wait that long for this build.-8gbx2 Corsair RAM does not post above 2933MHz, although rated to 3200MHz.I tried many combinations.BIOS updates required.-I filled up slot-B for each RAM channel. On channel-A, they did not work for me or gave lower speed.-The default speed for DDR4 RAM on Ryzen/MSI combination is 2133MHz both for 16gbx2 and 8gbx2 RAM kits I bought.-The difference between CPU speed and RAM speed has to be at least 900MHz for the RAM to operate at 2933MHz. I could not boot the system at CPU speed 3000MHz and RAM speed 2933MHz.I suspect the CPU ecosystem multiplier is locked for safety.AMD/MSI may open them in future.-Both RAM kits work at 2667MHz at 3.7/3.9GHz CPU speed.-Once CPU is overclocked and stable, attempt RAM overclocking. Not both at the same time!-A-XMP did not work on my set up.-Set auto CMOS clearance 'enabled' and save the profile for each overclocking setting-First power off mains using wall/psu button, then turn on the PC to drain out motherboard/psu capacitors chagres before an attempt to short CMOS clear jumper using a metallic screw driver. There is no switch for CMOS clearance on the mb.Results:Cinebench R15 score: 1790CPUZ-Multi thread score: 4820CPUZ-Single thread score:453CPUZ Multi thread Ratio: 10.64Comments:The RAM compatibility will require few more BIOS revisions. Try to use higher frequency RAM kit for future proofing. There should have been a CMOS clearance button on this motherboard!!Conclusions: I have created a workhorse for my workloads, it is absolutely a beast!

Got the motherboard. Looks undamaged and was well packed ...
Got the motherboard. Looks undamaged and was well packed in. There was a paper sheet in there saying "guaranty void if cpu socket pins bent". X370 doesn't have socket pins. Haven't got a chance to make it working because I can't have all the parts in one go.Update. RGB lights just failed after 2 weeks of usage. Next time will go with ASUS motherboard as they are superior in everything. At least motherboard works flawlessly.

TAMARRA E FUNZIONALE
