I'm confused, why does this guitar need a battery? Is this standard? Do all electric acoustics have battery in it.

There are acoustic/electrics without a battery but they are not common today. But then you need a preamp before plugging in a regular guitar amp. And the extra wire from the piezoelectric pick and the preamp can pick up noise. Me, I much prefer the onboard preamp. Just be sure to unplug the guitar when you are done playing as the next day the battery will probably be dead.

what are the best replacement strings for this guitar!

Gibson strings I think are the best. D'addario are fine with it. I've tried another brand that was decent. But I'm a musician in Nashville I use this guitar live alot and Gibson strings are best which you can get also on Amazon.

How well is it packed for shipping?

It’s well packed. It reached Abu Dhabi without any damage. It was in pristine condition.

Considering this guitar has two output jacks, can they both be plugged into one amp? If yes, recommend a good amp?

I'm sure they can be, there may be a little bit of added feedback so you would definitely need a sound board to balance out the levels. But good amps to use would be the Fender Acoustisonic amp, the Fishman LoudBox Mini, and also the Marshall AS100D, just to name a few with a good variety of sounds and settings. They work well with any acoustic instruments and offer multiple different settings to balance out the sound you're looking for. But as always, ask a dealer and test drive amps, because the best choice for YOU is really a matter of preference. So, it's best to try out any product before you purchase them.
