Decent Headset for the price, still work after 5 years.
I bought a pair of these May 2017 and the only reason I remember that date is because Amazon tells me when I look at them. They were the first headset I bought myself that I paid "silly price" for as my mum would say and that was even discounted but there's a good reason for that, they're really good quality. They're very comfortable (as someone that wears glasses, headphones usually pose a problem but I've never experienced discomfort wearing these) The Audio quality is astounding, crystal clear, good bass and after a while you can tell when surround sound isn't enabled. The mic was pretty good quality however I ran into a problem after a few months where there would be static or a buzzing on the mic, I put this down to the fact that when I wasn't using the mic I would unplug it and the port must have just been worn out? I'm not too sure but I would just suggest not unplugging it all the time like I did. 5 years later the headset is still working perfectly however as you can imagine the daily ware and tear has taken its toll on these poor things and I'm not a light user. Over those five years they have been used anywhere from 4 hours a day to over 12 and these are some of the issues I've only just encountered in the last couple of months; The leather on the ear cushions began peeling and I would find it on my desk, in my hair, on the floor so I had to remove them and replace them with the fabric ones that come in the box. Still very comfortable but I have to spend a bit of time pulling stray hairs and random fuzz out of them, anybody that's ever owned fake leather knows that this happens after a while even if you take good care of it. The Audio Control box still works but would cause a static disruption over what I was listening to from time to time, I put this down to ware and tear of over 5 years of use but also I would unplug the headset regularly so that I could use it on my phone or plug into my playstation controller. I had to stop using it and now my headset plugs directly into a port on my pc, still sound great but don't really have the easy volume functions anymore. All in all this is a really great headset for a decent price and if you take decent care of your belongings it could last you a decent amount of time. I'm just leaving this review now because they were so good I'm getting a new pair as a replacement so I can retire these old ones.

Comfortable to wear and very very good for the cost.
Great headset for the money. I know it isn't wireless but you can forgive that due to the quality of sound and comfort of the ear cushions. They are not too tight on the head and give a good level of exterior noise suppression so you can't hear the wife calling for you to do other jobs whilst in the middle of your favourite game or music album. The microphone is removable should you wish to not use it or you can simply bend it out of the way and then back again when required. My fellow gamers are impressed with the voice quality too. The button to switch to 7.1 really does give the sound a kick although the sound is not suitable for all media types. The 7.1 is better for concert hall type music in my opinion and you do have to switch it into 7.1 after every restart of the pc although I rarely use the feature. Good lightweight adjustable headset and very hard wearing. I've owned mine for over 2 years now and it is still in full use. Plug and play so not silly driver installs.

High quality, great comfort and indestructible
I've had this headset for 4 years and it's by far the most superior headset I've ever owned. I've had a turtle beach set where the plastic headband snapped within days of the years warranty ending. I had a Tritton headset that was similar, the plastic headband started to crack. Both those headsets where good in terms of sound and microphone but couldn't hold up to daily use. No one should have to shell out ÂŁ100's on something that breaks within the first year. Somehow, Kingston can make a set using metal and make them cheaper and better than the competition. This set however, I have dropped countless times where the cable has gotten caught on my chair (my fault for dangling it off my desk) or the cat has jumped up and gotten caught in the cable also putting a lot of strain on the connections. Nothing seems to have affected them they still work perfectly. I'm no audiophile but I think the quality is excellent, I use windows dolby atmos on my PC and they sound amazing. The mic quality is the best of any headset as well, most of my friends got this headset at some point because nothing beats the mic and the comfort. Before I bought these I was recommended the Arctis steel series by a colleague and the hyperx by another colleague. I went with the Arctis first because I tried my friends and they were comfy. After my first evening gaming my friends complained that they couldn't understand me because my mic quality was so bad, I also spent the whole night shouting because I couldn't hear myself talk due to the noise cancelling style. I sent them right back and bought the hyperx. I use the cloth ear pieces for the same reason as the Steel series, if I use the leather cups, I can't hear myself very well and end up shouting while gaming, if only other headsets gave you this option. I've even bought a second pair when I saw them on sale because if they ever discontinue this set, I want a backup for when mine eventually give up.

Great headset for gaming, and even watching movies, but build quality issues are there.
I bought this headset a long time ago, I've had them for about a year now. Sound is pretty loud and the bass is on point so you can listen to music and experience it very well, as well as gaming being able to hear footsteps more clearly and with the surround sound exactly where they are coming from which gives you a big advantage (great for a game like Squad, and most probably all FPS games) Also the mic quality is fantastic, sometimes it seems to be either to loud or to quiet though which really annoyed my friends on discord and in game sometimes. But you could easily use this as a starter headset to make content for Youtube, Twitch etc as there is no static what so ever. Its also very comfortable. I have worn it once for 34 hours straight after a heavy gaming grind and my hears and the top of my head had no itchiness and didn't leave me comfortless But, within a week of using my headset the plastic clip on the control panel snapped and then 4 months later I dropped from being a drunken dingus and then almost all the sound in the left ear went. I contacted Amazon who kind of wasted my time when I had to contact HyperX they tried offering silly solutions to fixing it (unplug it back in again, is it your computer? etc) and then HyperX saved my life and sent a replacement after I sent back the broken one. HyperX customer service is on point and I really do recommend this headset to anyone looking for a good gaming headset or studio headset, It really does stand out against its competitors. To add, they give you extra ear cushions come in really handy, after a while the leather started smelling a bit funky because of my sweaty gaming. The fabric is my preferred one as it offers the most comfortability and it doesn't get the funky smell but it picks up up fluff from your clothes and other things. Overall its a really good headset an definitely worth the price there is better headsets out there no doubt, you'd be paying most probably double the price. My rating 8/10

Easily the best headset I've ever owned.
Everything, and I mean everything about this headset is fantastic. All the way down to the packaging. Packaging: Really nice, premium looking red box inside the main packaging for the headset. Lots of high-quality materials that not only keep the headset in good condition, but looks really awesome and professional too. Build Quality: Personally, I'm fed up of going through headsets like water. I look after them as best I can, but within a year they always seem to break. And most of the time, you can see wear on them within a couple months. I've now had this headset for a little over 2 months, and you honestly couldn't say they've been used every single day during that period. They look and feel like they've just been pulled out of the boxes. They don't scratch easily. They don't break easily. The microphone doesn't lose its hold after a small amount of time (you'd be surprised how many headsets' microphones start just falling downward after a short period of time). The single only difference since I bought them, is the headset is no longer as 'stiff' around my head. That's simply because it has all slightly stretched as they've been held in the same position a lot (on my head, aha). This hasn't changed anything though. They grip on my head just as they used to, and they don't feel any less stable. The entire cable is braided which is always nice to see, as it stops the majority of tangles and also makes it much harder for the cable to 'snap' or break. Sound Quality: Sound quality, really, is pretty subjective to each person. But personally, these are the best headset I've ever owned for sound quality. Nothing leaks because of the snug-fit the cups give (and there's both leather and foam ones included!), which gives both a better sound and the people around you... no sound at all! Detachable Microphone: This feature (and build quality) is what ultimately sold me on this product. The sound quality is always important, but many many other headsets also have fantastic audio. I wanted to be able to detach the microphone, so that when I wasn't on Skype or any other VoIP, it could be removed and no longer be in the way or be within my peripheral vision. Detachable also keeps the microphone in better quality, so that it isn't always hanging ready to be accidentally caught and hit. Extras: This headset comes with the headset, the detachable microphone, the extra ear cups, the 'Audio Control Box' (where and how the 7.1 surround-sound works. This is fantastic in itself because it allows the headset to be used as either USB or jacks just by unplugging the Control Box. The control box can be used to turn on/off 7.1 and to turn up/down both the microphone and the overall audio.), Airplane headphone adapter (I'll personally never need this, but it's fantastic that it was included) and a high-quality carrying bag!

I think the best purchase I've ever made
I never leave reviews unless they're negative, but these headphones are so astoundingly good I went out of my way to log into amazon, find this product again and leave a review. What can I say, they do exactly everything you could possibly want from headphones at this price. I've been wearing mine EVERY SINGLE DAY for over 4 years for multiple hours a day. For gaming? Absolutely excellent. I turn the volume high and can ALWAYS hear the enemy footsteps, even if it's a Caveira in R6 Siege (the quietest character). I never use the 7.1 surround sound though because it messes up my orientation but the USB to headphone jack is basically an essential for someone like me that has my PC a bit far away from my desk. For music? Phenomenal. Yes there exist higher quality headphones, you can buy ÂŁ400+ Senheiser headphones if you're such an audiophile, but for anyone who's normal and listens to music on Spotify or YouTube (or even a sneaky illegal pirated .mp3 file) these headphones will play your song loud and clear with a bass too. For long stretches of time? Fantastic. These headphones feel extraordinarily comfortable on me (my head is normal sized, maybe if you have a megamind head it's not for you) and last multiple hours before any discomfort. I'd say after about 4 or 5 hours of usage I need to take them off for a while and massage my head and ears a little. For running? Well... I've not only gone running with these but also I've done parkour with them. They only came off when doing rolls from large heights. I'm not gonna lie though, there are better products out there if your main goal is running. Apple earphones are by nature lighter and I'm sure there are many bluetooth options that may specialise more. These definitely hold up just fine for running though. Water damage? I've been out running in the rain- and I'm talking London rain. Never caused any hearable or visible damage despite the copious rainfall. I've never submerged these headphones though... I wouldn't push them THAT much. Have I ever damaged them? Yes actually. One time I left it under my friends coat in a coach journey to Belgium and I sat on it, causing one earmuff to bend outwards at a 45 degree angle. This seemed unfixable until I got home, dismantled them then bent the metallic red connector piece back to shape using a hair dryer and lots of force. Anyway that's my review. I promise I'm not being payed by HyperX or whatever, I just really appreciate how fantastic the build quality and attention to detail this product has. If you found this review helpful, press the button below! I spent some time writing this and it would be cool if someone recognised it amid the sea of other reviews. Also... no I am not "Martha" writing this, I'm a younger family member of hers.

Great Headset
The HyperX Cloud II is an outstanding gaming headset. The sound quality is good whether Iâm playing games or listening to music, the audio is clear, immersive, and balanced. The 53mm drivers provide a great range, and the surround sound really enhances the gaming experience, making it feel like Iâm right in the middle of the action. Some games work better than others though, but that's not down to the headset! The comfort is another highlight. The memory foam ear cushions and adjustable headband make it easy to wear for long sessions without feeling any discomfort or pressure. The mic is clear blocking out ambient noise so my friends can hear me perfectly and the quality is really good for a headset mic. The headset is wired, which may be a bit limiting for those who prefer wireless. But the cable is really long so there's plenty of room to use it. The only downside for me is after a few years of owning this headset, the line seems to knot and tangle quite easily - but no issues short term. Overall, the HyperX Cloud II is an excellent choice for serious gamers who want great sound, comfort, and a reliable mic. Highly recommend it!

Great All Rounder and a great price!
For context i've had my headset for 3 years now and its still going strong! This headset is fantastic for the price. I have used and tried much more expensive options that have felt and sounded terrible in comparison to these. Firstly, the fact they give you the option between the USB and 3.5MM jack is great, they can be used on anything from your phone to gaming PC and will sounds consistent and great accross all devices. I mainly use these for gaming and they have balanced sound, with good bass that's not overpowering and fairly clear highs. No problem hearing footsteps in video games and never once had any feedback from other audio sources. Using this on my phone and nintendo switch via 3.5MM Jack also has great quality over 3.5mm with no issues. 3 Years in the ear cups are still in great shape, i switch between the leatheret and suade ones maybe once a year and neither are torn or broken. Detachable mic still going strong, i don't detach it often but its not looser that it was new. Only now has the heatshrink started to fail on the ends but its still flexible and holds position well regardless of the heatshrink damage which does not affect use. In terms of comfort and ergonomics, my head is on the larger side and i wear glasses, but never had a problem of felt any disconfort when using these for long gaming sessions. Feel super light on the head, sit snug on the ears with no weird pressure issues. Would recommed over anything Razer/Logitech as i've tried headsets from both these brands and MIC's sounds no where near as clear and Audio often sounds kinda meh on those.

Warum?
