Fab images in this book
This book is absolutely beautiful, full of information on McQueen, amazing photos and discussion of his influences. As you would expect their are some fairly graphic images that render this book suitable for older art students rather than school age.

Visually stunning, verbally week
As a devout fan of the late Mr. McQueen, I will gladly collect as many books as I can on his work. So please understand the photography in this book is great, even though it could probably be found anywhere on the internet from resources that provide raw runway coverage. Visually, A great trip back through his career for sure. However, the written description of each collection is a recap of model's names "sashaying down the runway" about sums up the books take on the designs seen within. Don't expect a industry's insider delving further to explore the collections in a new light, instead maybe stacked high on tables at your local Urban Outfitters for a quick sale. After looking at the author's list of literary contributions inside the back cover, it leaves you to wonder if this was written simply to capitalize on McQueens work instead of coming from a place of authority or respect and admiration.

Great pictures but better options available
I purchased this book since I am a huge follower of McQueen and Sarah Burton. Although the book has amazing pictures, there are other McQueen books out there that simply are better. The McQueen, Savage Beauty book is one that I would definitely recommend over this one. This one seems as though it was put together and published hastily without attention too much.By far the best book out there on McQueen's work is the Savage Beauty tome. Harold Koda has more experience with books of this kind and it shows.

Es un libro de colección de calidad y belleza inmejorable, especialmente para los fans del fallecido diseñador y artista. De verdad que te hace aprender más sobre la vida y arte del diseñador.

Stunning McQueen photography and commentary.
Absolutely stunning coffee table book, with rare photos and interesting commentary about all his shoes from Nihilism to the posthumous Angels and Demons collections. Cross referencing with Dana Thomas Gods and Kings. This book is highly recommended.

Excellent book
This is an excellent book for individuals interested in McQueen. There are not any still pictures they are all runway pictures some are a bit grainy but others are very clear and close up enough to see some of the detail, with that being said it was an excellent book for me as I went to the Met exhibit when his collection was presented there. I also have the Savage Beauty book (that was published at the same time the exhibit was at the Met) that can be utilized more for really looking at his garments in more of a detailed manner as those images were taken on mannequins. I will be utilizing the Evolution book more as a way to see what the garments looked like on live models and how the garments fit the body which was a nice and different perspective rather than on stiff mannequins.I enjoyed how the book was broken into part by the show name and year and where the show was presented. I think the book has a nice mix of text and of images. It also has some quotes from McQueen scattered about the book.I especially liked that the book shared images of his last/final collection the Posthumous Collection/Demon and Angels Collection. While it doesn't have all the images it did have a few so you could see a beautiful glimpse of his final work.I think if you have been to the exhibit at the Met, have the Savage Beauty book, love McQueen or just newly discovered the brilliance of McQueen it is a great book to add to your collection. I am thrilled that I purchased this book.
