Does it spray on dry?

No it's a fine wet spray but it dries fairly quickly.

I think that it is quite strongly vanilla scented, I can't really get the lavender much. It is quite strong. But pleasant too.

Is this suitable for a 5 year old child?

Some 5 year old DO need deodorant. My daughter began puberty early and started to get bodily odours like a grown adult. Your child didn't need it at 5 years old? Well good for you. Some children do or they absolutely reek. It has nothing to do with hygiene. It's the same way some adults absolutely reek if they sweat without wearing deodorant. Honestly some of these answers are useless.

I purchased a couple of these and the first was fine & a great product but the second has an issue with spray mechanism which collapsed please help
