Silicon SEALANT White Tube 70G

The nozzle can be cut so that it extrudes a REALLY narrow stream (about 1.5mm). This was perfect for what I needed, because I had to inject silicone beneath the PVC bath strip which has been there for 20 years and had receded slightly (or the bath has dropped slightly) There was exactly enough to do the entire length of the bath, but only because I needed superficial coverage. It didn’t smell too bad either.

I get rattled having to buy a full cartridge for use in a gun to do a small seal repair, and then when I need it again a few months later, it has gone off! This small tube is the only one I have found available in white, and is good value. It is less “gooey” than the big tubes, and stays workable for longer, meaning it is easier to match in for small repairs. It doesn’t seem as tough as the best, or claim to be mould resistant, so may not last as long, but that doesn’t matter so much for this purpose. I wouldn’t use it for a full shower or bath seal, but for small repairs it is fine. Also, the cap is used to fully re-seal the tube for use another time. I would suggest the reason for a metal tube rather than plastic is that plastic springs back to its original shape, allowing air to be trapped inside when re-fitting the cap, so it may not keep so well.

Perfect for what I need it

This is my 2nd purchase of this. The product is very good also being in a smaller tube I find it easier to apply and control when using.

The sealant itself is good but the tube is metal and it splits after only a few squeezes. Which means that the sealant goes all over your hands and makes it impossible to do a neat job.

Happy with the product. It does what it’s supposed to. Doesn’t smell too bad as some silicone does. I didn’t use it for the bathroom or the kitchen but to seal the door frame (after the rain we had earth warms sneaking in through the gaps between the plastic!!) Pretty straightforward to use. Although probably not as neatly done as professionals would do. I didn’t have any issues with bursting tube. As I went I rolled the metal tube from the other end and tried to squeeze it evenly. It required a bit of strength because I used only smaller hole but with the bigger one I would make way more mess. It holds, it looks good (aesthetics could be better but that’s me to blame) and hopefully will stop the dreadful earth worms coming in. It dries really bright white and in my opinion it wasn’t as messy as I expected. And I still have a half tube left! For the price you don’t get as much but what’s the point of buying a huge bottle of you really need only a little bit. Would totally recommend and might even use it for the bathroom next. The nozzle after use should be washed with white spirit but I just used cotton buds to clean it and it worked.

Perfect amount for sealing around 4 taps. Good nozzle for application. Cleaned out nozzle & approximately 40% left incase I need it in the next week or so. Temperature outside yesterday when used was 30deg and even hotter inside so had to be quick when finishing surface of sealant.

I've bought this brand many times before and I've always been pleased with the silicones performance. It's easy to apply and easy to smooth back.

Cheap price but works good

2 stelle perché mi è arrivato trasparente anziché bianco, quando nella descrizione del prodotto c'è chiaramente scritto white, se no come prodotto è buono.
