Rolson 62841 Folding Tradesman Knife

This is a great upgrade compared to the old standard sliding Stanley knife. This is a great size for holding when open and nice and compact when closed. It is very safe as when closed it stays closed and when open the blade does not move at all. Chaging a blade is a breeze, with the 1 button release. Same goes for opening and closing the knife. The belt clip is very handy, and due to to small size you barely know you've got it on. Build quality is great and should last many years to come.

Really good quality Stanley knife

The knife is well made but it has a flaw and that is the blade does not lock into place when closed. You could catch it in your pocket and open up the knife when pulling it out. Other than that it is a handy knife and sells at a reasonably low price. The construction is hard plastic shell, a metal lever that is pressed to release the open blade to enable closing it. There is a stainless steel button on the blade cover to release the blade. Also the blade cover is made of a good thickness stainless steel which is a bonus and is unusual because some brands have plastic blade covers. There is a belt clip that is part of the hard plastic shell but it is not very strong in grip and so I prefer to use a pocket in my overalls. There is also a hole in the plastic shell casing at the opposite end to the blade which I presume it to use as some sort of hanging device with string or similar? It's worth the money but needs something to stop it from opening accidentally.

Just what was need as i mislaid the one i had, nice and weighty , handy belt clip, feel good grip, also as ever with these very sharp, and safer than normal utility knife as it folds away, shame they don't come in bright colours

Rolson, the maker of this knife are in my opinion very much like Silverline, they seem to make good and bad tools, this is one of the better Rolson tools, it is safe when not in use and handy to put in your pocket as it folds. Changing blades is easy, one push and the used blade pulls out, and the knife is ready for a new one , I do not know if it is durable, but I can see no reason why it will not continue to serve for many years to come. Much better than any other what is commonly known as a 'Stanley knife'with retractable blade as this is safer. It does seem that this manufacturer has a patent, time then all these others making this knife were put out to grass and Rolson sold this only, their idea their knife , their manufacture and three times cheaper than any other.

As a builder I'm always in need of a Stanley knife and this one is perfect as it folds away and there's nothing left out for me to cut myself. The design is flawless, it releases the blade and allows the new blade in with ease and reminds me of a bmw car door. Using this knife is a pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend it. Its a simple design that works really well. It is a solid addition to any tradesman tool kit or budding DIY'er ! Delivery was prompt and well packaged. First class product.

I keep this handy for opening boxes and packaging. Feels sturdy, it’s good and sharp and has a hole where it can be hung from a lanyard. I bought another, slightly cheaper knife at the same time which looked the same but in reality felt like it was poorer quality, so it was returned. I’m happy with this!

Brauchte für die Arbeit ein simples Messer mit stärkerer Klinge zum Zerkleinern von Karton, Öffnen von Paletten und kleineren Reparaturarbeiten. Die aufklappbare Bauweise hat sich dabei bei mir bewährt, denn sie ist zusammengefaltet kurz und ein Messer lässt sich so leicht und sicher verstauen. Das Rolson erfüllt seinen Zweck, der Klingenwechsel geht durch den Federmechanismus schnell vonstatten. Der Haltclip ist zwar aus dem Kunststoff des Griffes, wirkt aber solide.

Son derece ergonomik. Üzerine abandığınız zaman bıçağı bırakmıyor. Bıçağı tutan kısım çok dar, bıçak sağa sola yalpalanmıyor.
