At last, I can play Earthbound for £70 the way it's meant to be played, and I get hundreds of games free!
What an amazing piece of kit. You will not believe how cute and detailed this console is until you get to see it for yourself. I was expecting it to be good, but not as good as this! The pads alone in this NEW condition are worth £80, then you have the games, 21 in total.Contra 3: The Alien WarsDonkey Kong CountryEarthBoundFinal Fantasy 3F-ZeroKirby Super StarKirby's Dream CourseThe Legend of Zelda: A Link to the PastMega Man XSecret of ManaStar FoxStar Fox 2Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper FightingSuper Castlevania 4Super Ghouls 'n GhostsSuper Mario KartSuper Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven StarsSuper Mario WorldSuper MetroidSuper Punch-Out!!Yoshi's IslandAmazing eh? Considering these games cost like £8 each on the Wii/Wii U virtual console, totalling £160, and you get an amazing console and perfect pads with the ability to add hundreds of roms on the consoles 300mb storage makes it absolutely essential! Forget buying the Switch for your kids, let them share some of your great memories on the couch playing with their dad/mother, priceless :) Seriously, kids of any age will love it, games like Super Tennis have never been surpassed by any Tennis Sim yet, and provides amazing 2 player action. You can power the console from a USB socket on your TV(if you have one) is so convenient. The controller leads can be extended for about £8 for 2 extension cables. Any USB socket can power it, if you want to hook it up to your PC or use a USB plug if you don't have a spare socket.Pros:LooksAmazing emulation, easily the best I've experienced yetAdd a huge amount of ROMs you wantPerfect replicated padsConvenient power cableCheap pad extensions cables if neededSome amazing classics included on consoleLooks beautifulWill only rise in price, good investment(not that you'd sell it!)Save game anytimeRewind gameplay if you make a mistake on Super Ghouls and Ghosts for instanceStunning build quality for priceAwesome user interface that kids can easily use, puts modern consoles to shameConsShort pad cables as standardNo decent sports game as standardHave to press reset on console to save/rewind or choose different gameNo option to stretch game to fullscreenHave to pull the original gamepad sockets out to plug in pads which deters from the look while in useAs you can see, most of the cons can be sorted. With many handheld/mini emulator 3rd party consoles available not one is worth buying due to crappy emulation/pads/power plugs needed. crap build quality this is in a different league and saves the hassle of having to get your old snes out and having to buy expensive(like Earthbound) to actually experience. This is a stunning piece of kit, I just love it. I just hope with every ounce of my being that Sega release my favourite 16bit console, the Megadrive, in mini form as that would be my perfect gaming setup.Buy it now while cheap, and thank me later.

Great mini console, I just wish it had more games
Better than the NES Mini in my opinion because I prefer SNES games over NES games. I love both though. It's great this comes with two pads which are great. Note the plastic on the pads is slightly textured compared to the smoother plastic of the originals from the 90's. No issues, just felt a bit weird to me at first. If you haven't held a SNES pad since the 90's you won't notice it.It doesn't come with an AC power adapter, but you can buy one easily enough for under £10 if needed, even an official Nintendo one. My TV's USB socket works for me.To make playing the games more convenient, and have instant access to the reset button, I purchased both a 3 metres HDMI cable (Amazon Basics) and a 3 metres USB to Micro USB cable). This means I can play the SNES Mini from my sofa and bring the console with me. I can then easily access the reset button without having to get up and walk to the TV or sitting right up close to the TV. Essential for games where you need to make liberal use of save states (I'm looking at you Super Ghouls n Ghosts and Contra III !!).If you can get this at close to RRP I can highly recommend it. Don't pay the stupid inflated prices re-sellers are asking for. Nintendo have stated more stock is on its way, so try and hold out.

The jump from the NES to SNES is outstanding
Coming from the NES, it's outstanding. The jump in graphics alone was enough to shout about, but when you've got such classic games, the console really comes into its own. There are ways of adding more games to this, although it's not legal and i've not done so myself - but the games that are included are fantastic. I've fully completed Earthbound in approx 22-23 hours. That alone has probably paid for the price of the console! What else can you do for approx £2 an hour?! I've got plenty more gems to play. Everything from the music to gameplay of these classics is just pure fun.You get the console, two controls, beautiful box/instructions manual, and then the console itself. Whilst it's true the console is merely an emulator, the official retro-looking controls feel utterly fantastic. Old-school Nintendo quality at its best. Can't recommend this enough!!!
