Canon IXUS 185 Digital Camera - Black

This is a really great camera to carry around with me. It takes photos in an easy and accessible way. It has a high res photo setting. Has Macro and automatic and manual and all the usual settings including a decent zoom I have had zero problems with it and am very happy. This is the cheapest in the Ixus range and I have also one that is of higher spec but it has become faulty after many years of use. I am happy now with this new one.

I wanted a simple camera, which I could take with me on travels where i don't want to be carrying around an expensive one, which might attract unwanted attention. The Canon Ixus 185 fits the bill perfectly - it is simple to use, has a useful 8 times zoom controlled from a little dial, and it can be carried easily in a jacket or jeans pocket. It is roughly credit card sized long and about the thickness of a finger. The images are really good and I have included a couple of photographs taken in different conditions to give examples of what it can do easily in different light conditions. For the price this is an excellent little camera -and i am delighted with it

Very pleased with my Canon IXUS 185. The camera arrived exactly as described and in great condition. I’ve been using it for capturing everyday moments (socials, garden and home etc), and I love the nostalgic compact-camera look it gives. This is a nice decent camera for everyday use. Convenient size for pocket or bag. Easy to connect to pc to download pics. Not Wi-fi, but you can buy memory cards that are (which is what I use). Compact and light enough to slip into a pocket.

Seems to be a decent enough camera but seems a bit basic for the price. Also connectivity seems dated and cabling was difficult to find

Great quality and picture quality for domestic use. I love to print my photos and keep my phone uncluttered.

I owned one of these Ixus 185 cameras previously and they do what they say they will do. The lack of frills makes them very easy to use, and they represent very good value - I have used images from the previous camera in published books. Seller please note: I would have given it 5 stars but for the fact that when I opened the package, the charger unit had a two pin [European] plug with no adapater for the UK three pin sockets. Fortunately, I happened to have one in 'stores' from my previous camera that worked, otherwise it would have been a bore to have to complain and get a replacement in order to make the camera work!

Love this camera. It has a great lens which, produced really good pictures and is very easy to use. I've been through a few point and shoots in the last few years and have always been disappointed in the quality of the photos. I shall hang on to this one. I like everything about it.

Comes with a Electrical 13A Fused 3 Pin Plug that is useless in most countries and no cord to transfer pictures off of the device. Buy at own risk
