Amazingly twisted!
What kind of family is this???? When it gets to the point where you think you’ve got it all solved, the author surprises you even more. It it goes on and on til the last page.

Insanely good! Best book I’ve read this year!
John had me at the prologue! What a fantastically written, dark and chilling book this is. I’ve concluded that the darker the better and I’m slightly worried as to what that says about me! 🤣Mia and Finn are in love and want to find their forever home, especially Mia as it means she won’t have to live in the annexe of her ‘monster’ in-law’s home any longer. Soon they find themselves the proud owners of an old derelict house, it needs a lot of work done before they can move in, but then it’ll be theirs for keeps.Except they never actually get to move in! Whilst renovating one of the bedrooms a creepy message etched into the skirting board leads them up to the attic. What they find up there is enough to give anyone nightmares and Mia and Finn’s lives are never quite the same again!Wow, what an incredible book! I devoured all 369 pages in just 2 days and feel like I’ve only just come up for air after releasing the breath I didn’t realise I was holding! (Avid readers will like what I’ve done there!😉)With more twists than a helter-skelter, this story will have you hooked from start to finish. I don’t remember the last time I read a book so quickly nor one that left me with such a dry mouth! A – because my mouth was constantly agape 😮 and B – because I was so engrossed I kept forgetting to have a drink! 🤣I’ll be raving about this book for a long time to come and I encourage any fans of psychological thrillers to give this one a go. I warn you it’s not for the faint-hearted, but it is expertly written, harrowing yet brilliant and totally unputdownable!

The topic is quite heavy
I had read the trigger warnings about child abuse and so on but I didn't expect it to be such a heavy reading. I love a good whodunnit but this was sad and in some parts infuriating. The plot is good, full of twists but I cannot say I enjoyed it.Maybe I expected too much after reading all the good reviews. In the end, I didn't appreciate it.
