Flow-Mow 360 Degree Rotating Time Lapse Timer

The product is great, allows you to do a time lapse while panning, no batteries, there are markings to show you how far to turn it for how many minutes. Great product great results. I hope amazon read this as I returned the first one because the total lack of any protection in the packaging meant the the first one was broken, box was crushed. I left feedback telling them to put some cushioning in the package but no, the second one was delivered also with no protection in the packaging 😡😡👊🏻

Loving this so far. Exactly what I wanted for my go pro. Didn’t want an egg timer and although that’s essentially what this is it is much better. It’s a lower centre of gravity and had all the relevant tripod connectors top and bottom. I like the tear drop shape so you can line up your shot and know what it finishes it’s run. It’s a good little product and well worth the extra price and the time saved than going the DIY egg timer route.

Not a bad bit of kit, comes in handy for timelapses. Can be a little hard to judge the vague time markings on the side so you have to overshoot the rotation time to make sure you get a non stop rotating timelapse.

Not a bad thing to have for a beginner. Easy to carry and easy to mount I felt that the rotation moved too fast as you would probably only use about 45-60degrees. Not great for taking time-lapse for anything more than a 5 second interval and also makes making any long exposures a bit of an effort to get right without blurring.

1 Star!!!!!! I am sitting here in a bar at 10pm in Menorca jumping on their wifi. Had a great evening Saturday 23/5/2015 using the flow-mow, fantastic sunset which I hope will edit into a great timelapse when I get home. Tuesday 26/052015 I decide to catch another sunset from different location. Walking down to beach with gopro attached to flow-mow, attached to tripod and flow-mow splits apart. I can't explain how!? Top and bottom come apart with a small black plastic part seperate (not sure if I missed another piece) pictures included. Part with clock work will not stop ticking.........how will this get through customs/baggage control?? I don't know where to start? The fact that Flow-mow has passed this product through quality control or that Amazon has accepted this poor product on its website. I have decided (in the short walk from beach) to write this review before asking for a refund. PLEASE!!! Do not purchase, will only end is disappointment!!! Plus damage to new GoPro after Flow-Mow failed to hold camera. Pictures included.

Having a 2 hour timer to turn 360 degrees is a real bonus. The whole thing is very well made and runs down very smoothly with just a steady ticking. The end result is long smooth video with no jerkiness. I can thoroughly recommend this mount to anybody wanting to experiment with time lapse photography with a GoPro or similar type camera.

First things first. The design is nice. The tear drop shape makes it easy to see how long is left and the casing has a grippy rubberised coating. However the execution of this design could be better. The casing itself seems incredibly flimsy. The two halves are very dubiously attached together and have a large amount of play. I was very aware of this when attaching my phone mount and that is a light item! I do not have much confidence that this will stand up to much abuse (or even light use for that matter) however time will tell and I will adjust my review accordingly. UPDATE: Having struggled to use this item for a period of time it turns out the top and bottom halves do not sit level with one another (causing the top to rotate at an angle!) Returned to Amazon for a full refund. What i would like to see (even if it means a price increase) is a premium aluminium version with increase durability fit and finish.

I wanted to be able to make panning time lapse with my DSLR and most of the similar gadgets seem to suggest that they don't work with anything heavier than a compact camera. I bought this hoping it would do the job with my Canon 650D and a fairly heavy 18-200mm Tamron lens. It worked perfectly (although it needs a tripod to stop it toppling over). With the stock 18-55mm lens it doesn't need any extra support at all. Only wish you could make it pan in the other direction. The ability to change the tripod fitting from one side to the other would do this I think.

Ottimo prodotto qualità prezzo. . . Ma mettere ben in livello per fotocamere troppo pese tipo le reflex . . .

FYI: This will not support a Canon 6d with 24-105mm lens. The camera and lens are just too heavy and had to return it :(. The device itself worked perfectly and as described. Compared to other reviews this is actually really easy to figure out the timing intervals, even having my girlfriend figure it out in 5 seconds without telling her anything about it. I really hope they make one in the future that holds the weight of heavier full frame cameras and lenses.

Lo uso sobretodo para la gopro y esporádicamente para la Fuji. Aunque es un poco caro y con un temporizador de Ikea+apaño tambien consigues algo así, no deja de ser útil para timelapses.

Ich hab mir das Teil bestellt, obwohl ich schon herausgefunden hatte, daß mit größeren Gewichten Probleme auftreten können und es nur eine Drehrichtung / Geschwindigkeit gibt. Stimmt auch alles. Läuft nur von rechts nach links, die Drehgeschwindigkeit ist wie sie ist, dafür aber gleichmäßig, is völlig ok. Muss man halt die Intervalle in der Kamera / bzw die Abspielgeschwindigkeit in der Software entsprechend einstellen, wenn man variieren möchte. Wirklich problemlos sind tatäschlich nur leichte Kameras. Ich nutze ne DSLR, die mit Objektiv knapp 1,5 kg auf die Waage bringt. Das Objektiv ist lang genug, um den Schwerpunkt ungünstig vor die Drehachse zu verschieben, d.h. funktioniert so erstmal nicht. Ich bin der Anregung von der FlowMow-Webpage gefolgt und hab mir ne Blitzschiene besorgt, damit dann den Schwerpunkt des Systems so verschoben, dass die Drehachse unter dem Objektiv liegt. Und das funktioniert. Natürlich nur horizontal und vertikal in Waage. Mit leichteren Kameras kann man auch von unten nach oben drehen lassen, das geht bei dem Gewicht natürlich nicht. Aber aufgrund des simplen Prinzips, das auch entsprechend funktioniert, und den Lösungsvorschlägen vom Hersteller um auch schwerere Kameras zu bewegen, gebe ich angesichts des Preis-/Leistungsverhältnisses gerne volle Punkte. Kann halt auch nix kaputt gehen an dem Teil :)
