Question 1

Can I use for my pet?

Accepted Answer

It's just the right size for a cat bed! It stays warm for ages, infact I've been known to put one at the bottom of my bed - far better than hot water bottles!! I originally bought it for an old stray tomcat that decided my cold garage was his place of safety in the winter. I gave him an old igloo type of bed and heated one of these for him every evening, put it under a blanket and amazingly he stayed snug all the cold winter nights! You could always get two if you have bigger pets. Recommended.

Question 2

Do you heat the "hot bottle" in its cover or do you need to remove the cover before heating?

Accepted Answer

You can heat it with it's cover on. I use mine for myself, rather than for pets, to warm my bed up/use as a "hot water bottle". 6 minutes at 800W and it keeps me warm all night, and still has some warmth left in the morning.

Question 3

Can I buy a new cover for the snuggle safe and sound heatpad

Question 4

Is there water inside the element ? or anywhere inside the product ?

Accepted Answer

It’s a highly acrid-smelling heat absorbing gel. There is no element. How do I know? I Overheated the disc by mistake, by setting the microwave to 10 minutes. The disc split, releasing a really hot, stinking, white gel.
Look after the pad.
