Stargazer UV Turquoise Semi Permanent Hair Dye

Been using this trusted hair dye for years, good coverage, deep rich and vibrant colours. Lates for a good while. Best advice would be the longer you leave it the better. I usually put it in and leave for 3-6 hours. Any dye remaining I usually put in the conditioner bottle just as a top up. Be warned it may stain your shower / bath and tiles. However nothing that Bleach won’t remove.

I bought all 4 colours of this so I could change colour when I wanted. I'm on orange right now and the colour looks like Leloo's hair from The 5th Element, which I think is pretty cool :D It's also absolutely fantastic when clubbing due to the UV. Your head turns into a glow stick basically. And despite what another review says the instructions on the package do say that pre-bleaching is recommended. These colours will most definitely not work on anything darker then the lightest of blondes. However, the bottle only just covered my hair and my hair is about 3 inches long at its longest point, so I'd get multiple bottles if your hair is any longer. And seriously make sure someone's there to do the back of your head, because with these colours it's going to be noticeable if you miss a spot.

Colour is amazing but really ensure you rinse colour with shampoo twice as residual dye can remain & stain clothing otherwise brilliant !

This is a really good product. I used it over a turquoise colour already from L'Oreal that I already have on. Thought I would try this brand as with the one that's on my head already, I need 4 to do half my head because my hair is so thick. Gets expensive and really doesn't last long. Left the product on for 45 mins and could tell instantly the colour had took. It's a lot more vibrant now then it was before. I only bought one incase it didn't work, I just about covered my hair. I missed some bits though so I would advise getting 2. More if your hair is longer and thicker, just to cover everything. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 purely because the size of the these bottles. Their always smaller then standard colours. Which is annoying. I always end up having to spend more money because of it. I would defo buy these but would most likely lighten your hair first if your a brunette like myself. I just ombré mine as I'm not comfortable using the DIY bleaches at home as I'm not expert. Didn't end well last time.

There was just enough product to cover my cropped pixie cut. Doesn’t cover dark hair at all and only just on the lighter blonde areas though you can see blonde through it. If you scratch your head it dyes your nails, my pillow case has turned turquoise, and it also rubs off on my clothes, eg, hoodie/scarf.

Given the very mixed reviews on this product I decided to go with my usual pre-colour routine i.e. Wash with detox/clarifying shampoo the day before Use vaseline around hair line and ears Apply to dry hair Leave on for double the stated time All of this worked to give me pretty much the exact results I expected - Light peacocky turquoise that lasted just short of 3 weeks with about 10 shampoos over that time before it started to fade to that yucky green and I re-did it. My only criticism is the level of colour transference for several days afterwards even after I rinsed it for about 10 minutes in lukewarm water - until the water ran completely clear. I still had a blue/green hand (from a weird sleeping position) and a blue splodged pillowcase. But I'd use it again - my short pixie cut length hair only took about a third of the bottle - so good value too.

I have used this dye for many years, but over the last year or so the colour changed shade (despite the swatch on the packaging/name of the colour remaining the same). It is now a much paler colour and it does not last for as long in your hair - even though I pre-lighten my hair with bleach. I'm disappointed in the product as it was one of the best dyes around for many years, but it seems that they may have started to dilute the product, perhaps with more conditioner, which means you get a colour much less rich than you used to. For instance, the dye used to stain my hands when washing out the colour in the shower, which it no longer does. It makes no difference how long I leave the colour on for or how many times it is applied, the colour will not darken to meet the swatch (which it used to without any problems - in the past I could even be a little lazy with slightly yellow-y tinges of colour left on my hair after bleaching as it would cover it up regardless, but this is not the case now - it is still a paler colour even when my hair is bleached as light as I dare). The product would be good for people who are not looking for a colour as dark as the package represents, looking for a bright/vivid turqoise colour, or for something that will wash out over a shorter period of time. It's also not bad as a base colour if you're looking to mix it with other colours; I added crazy colour peacock blue over the top and got a colour very close to the shade I was looking for (which was that represented on the stargazer box). Overall, I'm disappointed in the quality of the colour deteriorating over time, but it's still not a bad dye if you're looking for something very vivid - just don't expect to get a colour as dark as that shown on the box. It also has a lot of conditioner in it, so you do get a nice soft finish to your hair after bleaching.

Très bonne teinture , couleur bien vibrante , elle n’a irritée ni moi ni mon amie et ne tache pas la douche ! Pour un petit prix nous avons pu faire deux grosses mèches sur mon amie avec quelque mèches et une grosse mèche sur ma tête et nous en avons encore.

Questo colore è fantastico, il pigmento è molto intenso e si ottiene un buon risultato anche usandone poco. Purtroppo, come tutti i colori di questo genere, ha una durata abbastanza breve. Consigliatissimo
