Elite Version with Airbag and ABS functions.I bought this to investigate and clear two warning codes on the dash of my 2005 Nissan 350Z. Both I suspected to be eroneous due to how and when they appeared. One was the engine check light and the other the airbag warning light. I do have a wireless ODBII reader and Torque Plus which works on another car I have (Renault Clio 172) but would not work on the Nissan. In short this tool works - once I selected Nissan from the easy to use menu it diagnosed the faults and offered the option to clear them. I did that and then took the car for a short test drive and no more error codes. Well worth the £99.A couple of warnings; firstly I did try to register and update the reader on the company's website. The update tool that needs to be downloaded did not work. So after three tries and a wasted 45 minutes I gave up anbd used the reader out of the box. Secondly it will not work with all makes; EU Fords for example, and I also noted Renault is not supported. I did notice BMW is supported as in Mercedez Benz but have not tried with so cannot verify this. So do check the reviews on here and also the manufactureres website before you buy. There are also a couple of US reviews on YouTube.Neither of the above warrant any star reduction in my view. The tool not only does what I want it to do, but also will provide more information if I need it. I am not a mechanic, just a keen DIY car owner who likes to know what is wrong and if I can't fix it, take it to my trusted local garage with some knowledge of the fault. In short, in a single use this tool has paid for itself in my case.Stewart Reeves

Unit very good but updating over complicated.
It would have been a 5 , but unfortunately I had problems updating the software .I logged in created a past word , entered the appropriate serial no and register code but was unable to update . I think maybe there was a problem with the site I will try again later.Other than that it was great , gave gave me a fault diagnosis on my BMW E39 touring and I was able to clear an engine management light which would have been a £100 pound bill at my local BMW garage .Also worked on my 1998 BMW convertible via an adaptor plug , nothing wrong but it ran through a full engine plus abs and wheel sensor check , every thing ok impressed good little unit .

Does all I want and more
Went for the Elite version this has diagnostics for ABS and airbags and the engine codes, the plus one will read/reset fault codes for engines might be enough for many users as that's the most common fault codes out there. Other differences were the micro SD card which can store data on the unit, both can read out live data this is something the really cheap testers can't do. As I do jobs on a few cars felt the top version was the one for me either will do nicely for most home users.Have not tried to update the unit as it's reading fine on newer cars. Do like the hard case which has nice protection for the reader bit larger than I'd like still rather it's stored safely than some flimsy bag which might not prevent damage. Unit very strong slim and has no flex or creaking LCD is clear and easy to read in dim or bright light. Don't have to be expert to use this it has a help guide and the user manual is clearly laid out. Codes also have explanations and information, code lookup options too. Can reset and test quite a bit with this a lot more than the cheap one I had before. Pays for itself quickly trip to garage to read codes they will charge you this saves time you can pinpoint the problem or part issue.

A car geek's ideal toy!
This is my first obd2 and so far, I'm very impressed. I got it to diagnose why the engine management light was coming on intermittently on my Toyota. It arrived promptly, presented in a good quality cardboard box which has all the features and specifications listed on the back. The reader comes complete with a very nice looking and reassuringly sturdy zip up carry case which I'm sure will help protect it against the odd knock or tumble.Inside the case along with the reader itself are an instruction manual, a micro sd card, a micro USB cable and a Micro sd card adaptor. I have yet to update the reader though but everything is included to do this. It's really simple to use, plug it into you obd2 post on your car, turn the ignition on and it comes to life. I very easily diagnosed a faulty sensor which I duly replaced and it stopped the engine management light coming back on.This is a car geek's ideal toy, you can see what is going on in your car while it's running.... it's fascinating!Sure this will save me a fortune on garage bills.
