EluneVision Reference Studio 4K Fixed Frame Screen - 120" (110" x 47") Viewable - 2.35:1

The screen material had a defect but was quickly replaced and the replacement fabric was great. The review below is with the replacement material. My Elunevision Reference Studio 4K Fixed Frame Screen was custom-ordered to 2:35 aspect and 125 inches. The screen arrived within a reasonable time and had the 4K reference 100EL material, which is used in tandem with a black fabric backing (which was also included in the screen package). Assembly was fairly simple, although some of the pre-drilled holes in the back of the frame did not align perfectly with the inserts' screw ports. Anyway, this detail was easily forgiven once I had the screen up and running. The Studio 4K material came up in spades in all the important categories. Resolution: I'm using an LCD-based, ultra high contrast projector, and the screen material reflected clear, crisp images. Whether I was viewing presentation stills, text, or full screen 1080i/1080p entertainment content, the smooth screen texture offered up well defined images. Color and Contrast: The screen was imbued with natural-looking, well-saturated color. Controlling the ambient lighting showed that the blacks appeared darker than they did on my last screen. In addition, images showed reduced video noise. The screen material seems to do a balancing act by absorbing some of the projector's light while reflecting well-defined highlights. Motion: Motion is not something much talked about with this screen, but I noticed an incidental benefit. This screen surprisingly reduced unwanted motion blur usually associated with LCD-based projectors. Artifacts: The 4k reference screen presented excellent, smooth, texture-free images.
