Good product

Great for quickly joining work pieces using the DF500 machine. Much quicker than messing about with dowels and just as strong, if not stronger. They are just loose tendons made of beech though and are expensive compared to dowels. Whether the 4 times cost is worth it I suppose is down to how much you value your time in doing dowels. Me, I just find dowels tedious so will pay the price until an alternative becomes available (patent expiry I guess).

Festool are purveyors of extremely expensive bits of working kit the most desirable of which is the Domino because they have the patent on it.... Fortunately they can't patent the actual wooden dowels as all us wood workers would be bankrupt.... Anyway, as I'd just bought a Domino I bought the OEM dowels to start with. I've since moved on but I did have the chance to compare. These of course are Festool ones and naturally fit perfectly into the slots as required. They come with the Festool logo embossed with some might find goes part way to justifying the price. In my case not really. However, they are good and you are getting something that is guaranteed to be the real deal with no issues. Price is the only thing to raise eyebrows really. But, if you buy Festool that comes with the territory.

I went for the Trend dominos first but they weren't the size stated. These were perfect, worth the extra to know they work consistently.

Genuine festool at fraction of cost

Considering what they are they seem pricey and I keep thinking they would be simple enough to make some, but I never get round to it. These are good quality and convenient. So I suppose they must be worth it!

Die Domino gehört zu den geilsten Maschinen, die man bei Festool kaufen kann. Auch wenn man beim ersten ansehen vielleicht mehrmals mit dem Kopf schüttelt, weil das Teil einfach ziemlich teuer ist, so wird man es als Anwender sehr schnell lieb gewinnen und nicht mehr hergeben wollen. So ist es zumindest allen die ich kenne, einschließlich mir, ergangen die sich eine Domino gekauft haben. Naja... irgendwann ist dann auch mal Zeit für neue Dübel. Ich hab meine Domino so lieb gewonnen, dass ich bereits im ersten Jahr über 1.000 Dübel dieser Größe (5x30mm) verbaut habe - als Hobbyschreiner... Es macht unheimlich Spaß vor allem die Präzision mit der man arbeitet zu bewundern. Hab mir grad mal wieder zwei Päckchen bestellt...
