Decide exactly what you want before you buy any smart technology
A little fiddly to set up, but it does the business and works well with Alexa (Amazon Echo), however, I did discover that it will also work with Samsung SmartThings which I have now switched to as most things seem to be compatible with it, so you don't need so many controllers. Smart technology has been an interesting learning curve. Find out all you can about what you want before you buy!

Nicely made product
Nicely made product, and very neat aesthetic design. Easy to set up & install - the app walked you through step by step. The only two gripes - the battery was dead on arrival so had to order a new one, which delayed setup for a day and the buttons can only be assigned to preset functions - on/off, colour warmth up/down or brightness. I was hoping to be able to assign them to our scenes. However as we're only using it in a kid's bedroom to control a lamp they can't reach from top bunk, it does what we need it to - but I won't invest in additional buttons for other areas of the house as the functions are too limited.

Does NOT work
Did NOT work and I tried a lot. Could not pass initial setup. Contacted support, tried another 2 days with 2 not very clear emails with lists what to try. I have newest Virgin media router. List of things tried: Two different mobile phones; Mobile data off; All devices close to each other; Router firewall off; Router 5Ghz mode off; Port forwarding; DMZ for OSRAM Gateway; Manual wireless channel; Last resort was to create WiFi network with Mobile as a router through WiFi HotSpot. Same result OSRAM Gateway logins in a network, but still cannot finish initial setup - "Gateway Service could not be found". On Samsung S4 mini duo application was crashing always - used another phone and it was better.

Well the product should be awesome upon plugging it in I am notified of a firmware update requirement. The update continously fails and the buggy software used to control it will not allow you to use the product without doing the update, rendering it useless. I will be returning this POS and invest in a Philips system instead.

Don't buy unless you have an iDevice to set it up with first, it's borked on Android until firmware is updated.
Software setup on Android is horrid, the app would not pick the hub up after connecting it to the router. Luckily i used an iPad to try and set it up and it worked, after upgrading the firmware the Android version connected fine. Still pretty poor though, if i didn't have an iOS device, then I would of had no way to use it.

This is an amazing piece of kit now the firmware has been updated
This is an amazing piece of kit now the firmware has been updated. Can control up to 30 bulbs. You can set timers and different colours. Great fun have colour changing bulbs especially at Christmas.Only issue is that it is quite difficult to set scenes. I managed to set up 2, but I have no idea how! The website doesn't really give me any guidance.

Works well with my Hubitat Hub
Purchased as an Amazon warehouse deal.Unfortunately it arrived without a battery! I looked into returning it but it worked out cheaper to just buy a battery than pay the price difference for a new unit. The switch has intergrated nicely into my Hubitat hub. There are 4 buttons that can detect either a long or shot push thereby essentially giving you 8 different items or scenes you can control.

The Lightify app is buggy
The app is quite buggy, even crashed during the initial setup. I eventually got it working though. The app is also quite confusing to use.Would not really recommend this. I found my Osram lights work with a Philips Hue bridge instead, so have switched to that.
