Let’s see if you’ve ever heard as gnarly a riffs as these paired with the beautiful tenor voices of SU and MOA METAL.Sit back in your favorite easy chair and let this compact disc play on your home stereo for a ride like the Offspring never could. BABYMETAL will transport you to a new world.

The music here is 5 stars. One of my favorite metal albums, full stop. But I was pretty disappointed to receive this LP in the mail. Based on the product photos, I assumed the record itself was transparent; that it came in a plastic housing within the normal, cover-style record covering. But that's not the case. This has only the plastic covering for a sleeve; the third product photo being the only one which shows it as it actually arrives. As a result, the record doesn't feel nearly as safe from harm as most LPs, and isn't a winner in terms of wall/stand display. A real shame, because this should have been an easy 5 stars.If all you care about is the music, don't skip experiencing this monster. But if part of your reason for collecting records is the visual aesthetic, this one leaves a great deal to be desired.

Last year I reviewed the CD version of THE OTHER ONE and I gave my thoughts about how it was the best new album of 2023 and how it demonstrated the growth and development of Babymetal having gone through changes and coming back anew to have an amazing year in 2023!Furthermore, on to that point, having personally experienced the World Tour they participated in and having listened to how they performed the live versions of the older material as well as the new material from this album, I can can say that the songs of this album do bring the group "full circle" to why we love them to begin with!It gave me a fresh perspective on this album.It demonstrated everything we love about them in the past and it also opens the door to a future in which we can speculate what exciting direction their music will take on next!Specifically, this vinyl version of THE OTHER ONE does - in a certain way - sound timeless.Its a beautifully crafted vinyl record and packaged well.It is designed to spin at a standard 33 RPM rate and plays perfectly on a standard 33 RPM record player.There is a nice 6 second buffer between songs which is a very nice touch. Your brain can better process each song as you await the needle to move to the next song.Great album, great vinyl, great music!
